I don't know what focusser you were looking at but it isn't the one on my dob. The focusser I'm using is not a cheap Crayford, it is all steel rack and pinion. I can't find any cheap materials, with the exception of the plastic focus knobs.
I know that older models of this scope had crayford focusser, maybe you were looking at one of those.
