Subject: 31mm & 26mm Nagler

I was wondering if using a 31mm or 26mm nagler on the Obsession 15" or 18" will cause it to become inbalanced? If it does, how would I then balance it? Or would I have to forget buying those EP's?

Thanks for any replies!

You could try to make more friction on the altitude bearings by rubbing the formica with denatured or unscented isopropyl alcohol.... This may take a trial and error process and you can always get the smoothness back by waxing. Also you can put a homemade captive counterweight in the front of the mirror box. You'll have to experiment with this using your lightest and heaviest eyepieces/accessories to determine how much weight you need. Scrap steel or lead work well.
