Subject: nexstar 5 By: Anonymous (xxx.xxx.91.183) Date: 06/02/2002 06:20:51 am PST Just got mine 4 days ago.Spent 5 hours last night trying messier, ngc, globs. nebs. you name it.And it brought nothing in except it did go to Jupiter and Venus. Oh wow I can get those on my dept. store junk scope. 5 in apeture just dont get it. 1100 dollars is a hell of alot of money to spend on a scope that you can only goto naked eye objects. Quite a disappointing and expensive adventure.Its things like this that sour a person on any hobby. My wife is about to wring my neck for buying. And the dealer wont take it back.NO REFUNDS.Oh well maybe I can use it as a boat anchor.!! NEVER BUY A SCOPE WITH LESS THAN 8 INCHES OF APETURE. AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK.!! Maybe you should read the manual at lease give your nexstar 5 a chance. I have a nexstar 5 and it took me a few nights before it did what I wanted it to do. Please give it a chance.
