I ordered my first dobsonian reflector telescope from Khan Scope Centre and waited 4 months after I actually paid for it in full. I kept on getting the run-around on the date of arrival (promises were made), and when the scope actually came, it was missing springs on the collimating screws. I waited another 2 1/2 months after that to get a few lousy screws!! I now do buisness with B.C. Telescope and Nature out of Ladysmith, British Columbia, and I couldn't be happier with service AND some of the lowest prices around anywhere. I know what you mean about being treated like some unvalued person after a purchase from Khan Scope. That's another major reason why they won't see a dime from me again. By: aurora Date: 01/17/2004 05:50:11 pm PST Just looking at some other astronomy buisnesses on the internet and having done buisness with various other places since Khan Scope Centre, I have to say that one needs to be very informed prior to making a decision. Don't kid yourself- there are clearly significantly better deals to be had than going through Khan Scope Centre. Prices speak for themselves, and I am dumbfounded that anyone could suggest that Khan prices overall are that competitive. Common sense should always be number one in any case. Ray is not a bad person (no slander here), it's just that I had an unfortunate experience with a buisness transaction there in the past. One needs to consider that there is this kind of feedback for a reason. It doesn't simply come out of nowhere. The customer service can use some improvement most certainly. I gave them a chance to fix it and they had more excuses and did not, When I was leaving I told them I would never come back to this store ever, Alex from behind the counter yelled out "good don't come back" and then the other guy said the same thing. ******* WARNING if you do business with Kahn scope you are a bigger idiot then I was because you now know NOT TO GO THERE.****** also for YEARS I have been using my credit card at the same places over and over with NO PROBLEMS EVER.!!!! I use it one time at a new place (KAHN scope) and my credit card people call and tell me my card has been COMPROMISED and half to CANCEL IT and send me a new one.
