>The image looks ok from what I could tell, but I can't judge that well since the eyepiece was jimmied into the focuser a little crooked just to get an image to test. The barrel is slightly larger than all my other eyepieces and doesn't actually fit into my 1.25" focuser, they made these too big.

Where did you find this ep for $20

>For a cost conscious beginner putting together a wide range of eyepieces, this is a great choice. For $20 it is very sharp and shows good detail. The only problem I had was seeing the entire FOV since the eye relief was so tight. The fact there is no eyecup means you may have difficulty finding your object without shielding the eyepiece area from stray light. Good quality construction overall. I wanted a decent plossl for high power when I got this and I was happy with it. For its value, i'd rate it an 8.

I have one of these I picked up from a discount optics dealer for very little money. I have been pretty satisfied with it optically, but it has something like zero eye relief. It throws out an image every bit a sharp and bright as my other more expensive eyepieces, but I find I don't use it much because I have to just about put my eyeball on the lens to see the whole field. I think if I had a few of these in longer focal lengths, I would be satisfied with them. I just find the 6mm to be a bit hard for me to use.

I mostly use it to swap out with my other eyepieces for visual comparison of planetary details I may have missed in the other eyepiece.
