Astro-Physics 900GTO
Great accurate mount that is easily disassembled for transport. Main issue is cost at 6,000 plus many months to wait for one. There are no weights or even an adapter palte included at this price. Same for a shipping case.

Conservatively rated at 70 pounds (I've seen them with huge loads on them).

Excellent Mount. Just what yoiu would expect from Roland! I have owned an AP900 since 1997 and just got my GTO version on June 2003. The Goto is very easy to use! But you have to polar align it perfectly and make the OTA orthoganal for the GOTO to be accurate.

First of all, this is a fantastic piece of engineering. Beautiful and functional to the purpose it was designed for. Assembly and use is straightforward. The hand controller suffers from the limitation of its limited display but is quite intuitive none the less. The daytime polar alignment and meridian delay to achieve accurate polar alignment is brilliant. Accurate polar alignment is critical for GOTO performance.

This is a very expensive mount built to a no compromise standard. Does it represent a good value? If you can afford it, it will give you everything you could ask from it.
