NGC 6231
Very, very cool. Not only an unexpected gift for those who attempt to explore the Scorpius tail from the 40° north latitude, but also very interesting thanks to her LOTS of supergiant stars.Really,I like it!

NGC 6231
This is one of the most beautiful open clusters in the sky. Even nearby M6 and M7 are dull compared to this group. Being made up of some of the most luminous stars there are, this cluster sparkles even under the worst viewing conditions. It does not need a great deal of power to see. I first saw it with 20X80 binoculars. Definately worth seeking.

NGC 6231
An easy to locate gem in the bend of the Scorpion's tail. Tall and narrow with an "arrowhead" pointing south. Visible even from light polluted urban skies, NGC6231 is a must see summer cluster.
