S&S Optika
I purchased an Orion 80mm Shorttube from S & S Optika. I found them to not only be very helpful and knowledgable. I paid $10.00 more for the scope but they checked it olut thoroughly for me and added a moon chart . I think this extra $10.00 was worth it becaus I am new to this and I gor a fine scope without any problems. I downgraded from a 10 to a 9 becasue there hours and wierd and they have no 800 number. They do, however return calls well.

I have had nothing but positive dealings with S&S Optika over the years. Cathy and her staff has always served me well and are very knowlegable. However, I've never had an occasion to deal with them via the mail, since I live locally.

Great service, reasonable prices for a full service store. You could pay less, but like optics, you get what you pay for. It's worth the few extra dollars to get it from S & S.

Cathy is great. I have bought over 5,000 dollars worth of stuff from her over the years. She will make any purchase right. She is not the cheapest in the country just the best service!!! She will talk with vendors to get you what you need not what they want to sell you. If your looking for something hard or easy give her a call!!! Make sure you ask for Cathy!!!

Really helpful, knowledgable staff. Many different types of scopes, binoculars etc to compare. We ended up with the most expensive - and have never regretted the decision.

I purchased an 8in. Orion Dob from S&S and could not be more pleased. Great service, very knowledgable staff, and great attention to detail. Their price is a little higher than factory direct from Orion, but after you factor in shipping, it's close to a wash. Plus, you get a nice moon chart and astronomy basics book. Pretty cool...

Cathie is one of the nicest and most knowledgable people I've ever met in the astro gear business. If you live in the Denver area, I highly recommend that you do business with S&S. I've bought several things from her on her recommendation and I've not been disappointed. Friendly, excellent service. Not tops on price, but the service definitely makes up for it.
