TeleVue Ethos 17mm
Although I have several Ethos eyepieces in my case, 6mm (just ordered), 8mm, 13mm, 17mm & 21mm, the 17mm is quickly becoming my favorite. This eyepiece seem to fit my scope (16" F4) perfectly. It has become my go to eyepiece and as of late has been spending the most time in the focuser along with the Parracor Type 2. M42 and open clusters are framed perfectly. I love it and I don't see me getting rid of it any time soon.

TeleVue Ethos 17mm
I am giving this outstanding eyepiece a 9 overall rating only because of price. The optics are in a class of its own. WOW is an understatement.

I have looked thru the Explore scientific 14mm 100 degree eyepiece, and was very impressed with the view, it is a fine eyepiece! but if you ever look thru the 17mm Ethos beware! get your wallet out and be ready to lighten it up a bit.

The correction in a fast 4.9 Newt is nothing but unbelievable. Pin point stars in all but the outer portion of the view.

Like I said nothing wrong with the Explore Scientific, If it was all I could afford I would have one, but if you can afford the extra expense, by all means get you one of these
( Teleview 17mm Ethos)
