Pro-Optic Plossl 17mm
Since I am the first to comment on this eyepiece, I must say that the eye relief is comfortable and that it is very similar to the orion and celestron plossls. Nice 50 degree field of view, good sweet spot, but a little mushy at the edges. For $30 this eyepiece performs very well, easily better than any Kelner of Modified Achromat eyepiece, which may actually cost more!

For the cost, I would give it a 10. It is one of my favorites.

Very nice eyepiece. Great eye relief. On nights of excessive light polution this darkens the sky just enough for very pleasant views. Great on med size open clusters and full moon shots. Barlows well.

I received the EP on 1/22 and was immediately able to use it. I was easily able to hold the shadow transit on Jupiter and see the Cassini division on Saturn as well as banding on the planet. I was using it my 4 inch F12.7 Mak-Cass. at 76x. I also own the Meade 16mm series 3000. This eyepiece is better than the Adorama in every way, but not much better. The Adorama has tight eye-relief for this focal length and will black out if you move around alot. It was good at the edges with very little if any distortion. I didn't notice any false color on axis when looking at Sirius. Keep in mind that this is a Maksutov scope that I was using, it might not be as good in a faster scope. One thing this EP doesn't come with is an eyecup. It framed the Moon nicely at .66deg with very little internal reflection. I paid $24.95 for it and would recommend it to any price conscious skygazer.

Decent ep. Views were sharp. I didn't have much use for the power it provided me so I sold it. Edge of field is sharp.

A very fine eyepiece for the money! Decent ER also. If I owed a binoviewer would definetly buy another one for the money.
I presently own a Meade #2120 10" sct from 1984.
