Good eye relief, parfocal with rest of line, not as sharp as Ultima.

A nice eyepiece that eliminates my barlow. I find some problems with reflections on the eyepiece from surrounding direct lights. Not nearly as nice as the 7 Nagler. The LV eyepieces are very nice for starparties, especially for allowing children to view.

Stars are sharp and "pinpoint" to the edge of the field.
Brightness a little on the dark side.
Excellent eye relief.

Sharp views all the way to the edge; good contrast; brightness is quite good (IMHO). Eye relief is a BIG plus.

This is one of 3 of these ep's I now own. Images are sharp, great eye relief. Other reviews of this ep reminded me of 1 good point and 1 bad. These are truly parafocal which make them a pleasure to use.The bad....the eyecups are very stiff.

Superb eyepiece! I have side-by-side tested the Vixens against Radians and they are just as good in every category. Stars are tack sharp right to the edge of the field with no fall-off in brightness. I have the entire set.

Excellent eye relief. Brightness a little low. Could only compare it to a Celestron 7mm ortho, but sharpness of the Vixen seemed to fall off more than it should between the two. Used with a Super C8.

This eyepiece is sharp, edge-to-edge, with a very flat, distortion-free plane of view. Extremely contrasty; Saturn has never looked so sharp. Field stop is razor-sharp as well. Brightness is uniform. Only weakness is an eyeball reflection that dances around what your looking at, and it's not from extraneous light from the side, as it happens with a black hood over my head and the eyepiece. If not for this, it would get a 10 from me.

Excellent FOV, excellent price $89 plus S&H at Adorama. Excellent brightness.
I have a 10mm Radian and this is just as good at a different focal length.

Long eye-relief at 338x (C8)? You bet! Good brightness and super sharp right to the edge? You bet! One-third the price of a Nagler? You bet! Excellent on planets (even in the city) and on super-small fuzzies in the dark, dark desert. Also have the 9mm. only knock is the stiff eyecup.

After falling in love with the 4mm LV I purchased the 6. I'm not nearly as thrilled about this as I am the 4. The 6 does share many of the same attributes I like about the 4 - easy eye position despite the ER, good sharpness/contrast, etc. What bugs me though is lateral color is much higher than it is on the 4mm. I have also noticed a fair amount of pincushion. Aberations to the degree I am seeing in a 45 AFOV eyepiece is IMHO ludicrous, so the optics score is dinged accordingly. What saves this from being ranked even lower is it does everything else so well that I'm willing to live with these faults.

That is to say, I like the eyepiece overall, but not without wondering if the Chinese clones (Epic, Xcel) or one of the other LVs might be a better value near this focal length.

Great eyepiece, one of my favorites.
Contrast and brightness clean, difficult to overcome.
In Newtonian planetary F 8 gives incredible views.
Black hole much smaller than in others as XCell or wide of orion.
