Takahashi LE-ED 7.5mm
Same excellent performance as the 5mm LE in a smaller package. Although listed at the same weight as the LE-5, it feels lighter.

I compared several eyepieces at about this same focal length, including the Pentax SMC XL 7mm, and the Takahashi eyepiece was obviously sharper and cleaner on all targets. It is an especially good eyepiece for planets, as it gives good magnification and great eye relief. It gives exceptional views of planets with my Televue Big Barlow (2x) on my 4" f/8 Takahashi refractor. Superb sharpness and detail.

Exceptionally sharp and clear with very good eye relief. Excellent planetary eyepiece. Very clean image with no color fringing or ghosting and sharp right to the edge of the field stop. You can't go wrong with this one.

Just as great an eyepiece as its brother, the 5mm Tak LE. You just can't go wrong with it; worth every penny.

Takahashi LE-ED 7.5mm
I real nice eyepiece, sharp and contrasty. Stars are pinpoints to the edge. The 10mm eye relief is just about perfect for me (I don't wear glasses). I wish my Nagler and XL's were made this well.

What an eyepiece. Simply the best views of Jupiter and Saturn through my 120mm refractor I've had yet. Constrast is excellent. View is sharp right to the edge. Also great with my 2x barlow for resolving globulars.

Takahashi LE-ED 7.5mm
A splendid eyepiece - very sharp right across the field. Nice-n-contrasty. I used to use a 7mm Nagler, but now I find myself reaching for the LE (I'm using an FS128).

Takahashi LE-ED 7.5mm
I'd actually rate this eyepiece as a 9.5. This is one of the finest eyepieces I've ever used, especially for planetary & lunar use, and I'm mostly a deep-sky observer who uses almost exclusively Naglers. (However I'm moving away from those for lunar & planetary)

I do not find any lateral color, and it is pinpoint sharp to the edge of the 50* AFOV. I'm hard pressed to find a sharper eyepiece, and the throughput seems to be tremendous, as it is brighter than any eyepiece I've ever used at this focal length. I find it to be brighter & sharper than the 7mm UO Ortho. (Sorry I can't compare to the Pentax or Zeiss - I've never used those).

It's very small & leightweight, but packs a powerful punch in the focuser, and I'm thinking about buying a second one for use in a binoviewer. I can't think of anything better in the 7mm range, so unless you must have a wide-field, don't pass this up.
