Panasonic DVD-A110
Great Picture!!, DTS sound is fantastic!!! Maybe not quite audiophile, but damn close. Haven't been able to find a code for entry into other remotes. My Marantz remote does just fine.

Panasonic DVD-A110
Outstanding price/performance ratio! This is the player for the masses and the reference standard for the under $700 price range. And at $399 it was a steal! Well done Panasonic!

Panasonic DVD-A110
About a month ago, I searched high and low for this unit until I managed to special ordered from Good Guys. I've played a number of discs and haven't had any problems. I'm more than pleased with its ultra clear video reproduction. All I'm waiting for is to get my DD/DTS decoder and then my audio experience will match the visuals. Excelent player performance for the price.

Panasonic DVD-A110
Excellent picture -- a few minor bugs...

The "Markers" go away when you change disks or power off, and it auto-powers-off
overnight. The result is you can't stop a DVD and resume watching at the same place the next day, unless I suppose you leave it paused forever. Unable to
play CD-Rs, like amost all players except the Sony.

Panasonic DVD-A110
Does it decode MPEG 2 like the Panasonic DVD-A350? If it does, why would anyone want an A350 when they already own a DolbyDigital-decoding AV-receiver??

Panasonic DVD-A110
This is a great DVD but it doesn't have as good Quality picture as the Sony. Everything is great on this. It has everything i want and things i don't really want. Such as DTS Pass. Personally there are not to many companies coming out with DTS discs. Universal is the only company. Other companies just remix it from Dolby Stereo Digital to DTS. Couple movies with the Remix. Deep Impact, Titanic, Mortal Kombat, An American Werewolf in Paris. Although Columbia-Tristar chose not to have any DTS movies along with Twentieth Century Fox and Paramount chose to not actually mix DTS signals but to remix it from Dolby Stereo Digital.

Panasonic DVD-A110
Why a 10? I have nothing to compare to in the way of a dvd player,
but I find no fault in the remote, the menu system, anything.

Panasonic DVD-A110
This was the player I had been waiting for - a 10 bit DAC, DTS compatible, for 400.00 or less. Panasonic really came through with this one! Picture quality was top-notch, even on anamorphic DVD's converted to letterbox for my 4:3 projector. Sound quality was very good as well. Still frame, search, slow motion, all look great. The bells and whistles are abundant, and seem quite useful. Ergonomics of the player are nice, but the remote could have used a more intuitive layout, hence the rating of '9' instead of a '10'.

I've had my Panasonic A110 for a week now...and have nothing but praise for
this DVD player. Flawlessly plays every title I've played on it. This is
the real deal for the money! Get one, you won't be disappointed.

Panasonic DVD-A110
After owning the Sony DVP S7000 for 2 months, I exchanged it for this unit only because it will play DTS and I heard good things about the quality of this unit. I used the money I got back to upgrade my Yamaha Receiver to the DSP A1 !!!

The picture on this baby is unreal. I think its better than the Sony. I no longer see those vertical red bars that sometimes appeared on certain movies on the Sony 7000.

The only thing that bothers me about this unit is the manual states to converts all pcm signals out of the digital out to 48KHz 16 bit. Does this apply to dolby digital and dts bitstreams?

I notice that I have to turn the volume up louder on my DSP A1 than I did on the Sony 7000. It's to early for me to decide if the audio quality has been compromised. The analog audio is ok but nothing like the Sony.

For now I rate this player on its picture, which is notihng short of outstanding.
