I paid $390 for this unit for my bedroom and it retails for
$590. If anyone can find a receiver with Component Video in
and out that sounds and retails for under $900, I want to
see it! Come to think of it, I don't even think there is a
receiver under $1000 that I'm aware of with Component Video
Switching. For the price, even at full retail, this thing
is a 10+ and it sounds as good, or better, than some $1000
Processor only Pre-amps with no amplification. The
amplification is the best I've heard in a combination
product with no smearing/distortion in the mains when
a complex movie scene is blasting (blasting for 100
Watts).

For a sub $1000 receiver this unit is pretty good but it retails for under $600 and I got it for around $400 at jandr.com and it performs better than any of the big comsumer electronic receivers I've listened to that cost more and don't have component video switching and supplies ample power. The OSD could be more advanced but is plenty sufficient for the price.
