DGM Optics OA-6.5 ATS
The result of the off-axis design is very high-quality views.
Stars are sharp, planets are great, contrast is very good.
Optically the design really works.

The only drawback is that it has to be carefully collimated
by star collimation to get these results; the good news is
that it holds collimation well for weeks.

The mount is heavy and its azimuth motion is a bit stiff.
But the sliding yoke means all eyepieces balance and that
you can rotate the tube to put the focuser in a convenient
place.

A final bonus is that you get to confound others when they
look down the tube: it's like having a Ferrari in a parking
lot full of Fords.
