Meade LXD55 SC-8
Good optics and mount but difficult to set up and with an annoying handbook for reference. Once you get used to it the equipment is a joy to use with objects appearing in the middle of the view as if by magic when you press the relevant buttons. Highly recommended!

Meade LXD55 SC-8
I purchased my SC-8 in May 2003 and after several trial runs with setup, alignment, and viewing, I am extremely satisfied with this scope. I have never owned a scope previously, only binos were used. I so far have not had any of the gear problems I have read on other websites, and it almost always goes to where I direct it to go. When it doesn't, I usually figure it's operator error. I hope this helps.
