Intes Micro MK-91
High contrast and extremely well corrected field in this scope. Check out the spot diagram for this design (Rutten-Maksutov) in Telescope Optics by Rutten & Venrooij. It appears to have the flattest field of any design in that book. Ideal scope for bino viewing since it has generous back-focus and the main mirror doesn't move which allows design optimization and minimization of spherical aberration with or without binoviewer. Some loss of contrast due to 33% secondary obstruction but smooth, all spherical optics provide superior contrast compared to SCTs. Lunar/planetary performance excellent - lunar views were still useful at over 700x using 4mm Radian with most stunning views using 24.5mm Meade SWA's in binoviewer. DSO's very impressive from dark sites using 22 Nagler and 35 PanOptic due to superior contrast and fully illuminated flat field. Tube is heavy for its size and takes a while to reach thermal equib. Focuser creeps under heavy load and finderscope could be better. Optically 10+, mechanics 7.
