This is thw absolute worst thing that CLAMP has ever done!
'Clow Cards'? They resembled dumb glorified enchanted "Magic the Gathering" cards.

A plague on Anime.

Card Captor Sakura
This show is addicting. From the ultra-catchy opening theme to the outfit's Sakura's friend makes for her. Yes, the cards tend to lend a monster-of-the-day theme to the shows, but they are inventively done and she doesn't always capture the cards on her first try.

A lot of imagination and creativity went into the design of the show. There are plenty of storylines and side-interests. Vutre cute, occasionally very funny, sometimes even touching (like the illusion card that mimics Sakura's dead mother), this show is defintely worth checking out.

Besides, Kero-chan is way-cool.

CCS is *the* champion of adorability and heartwarmth for me. Tange Sakura (voice actor for Kinomoto Sakura) does such a cute job on her voice.

Just finished watching the CCS Movie last night on DVD. Visually very, very well done, with extremely fluid animation and stunning, almost photo-realistic backgrounds of Hong Kong's cityscape at night. The producers obviously went through a lot of effort to depict the scenes of Hong Kong as realistically as possible, right down to the "reversible" bench seats on the Star Ferry ferries! Unbelievable!

A word about the DVD: the term "reference standard" has often been (ab)used in describing the video quality of DVDs. That term would be an understatement here. Bandai Visual has outdone itself with this release. The image quality is, in a word, perfect. I noticed absolutely no colour shifting, artifacting or pixellation, even in the most complex scenes (e.g., Sakura on her staff weaving her way between the highrises in Hong Kong while desperately dodging bolts of water hurled at her by The Magician which are exploding against the sides of the buildings around her). The sound is rendered in DD5.1 and is very impressive in its directionality.

As another contributor to this forum observed, there was nothing objectionable content-wise in the TV series, and that also holds true for the movie. The ending is a tad touching, but is otherwise a perfect conclusion to this movie, proof enough that heart-warming anime with incredible production values can still be made without resorting to violence and bloodshed.

Card Captor Sakura
THIS is surprisingly fun anime. While I hate shows like Pokemon, Digimon, and a majority of all other monster catching shows, I really can't say the same about Card Captor Sakura. Granted, the opening was a bit too cutesy for my taste, with Sakura all dressed up in the frilliest dress of all humankind, but I decided to actually give the show a try, and y'know what? It's actually really fun and addictive, unlike Pokemon or Monster Rancher, which are just plain shallow turds of a show. The animation is top-notch in comparison to all of the other aforementioned shows, it has great art-direction, and no characters are distinctly annoying at all. Plus, Sakura herself is drawn as appealingly cute as hell, and when Kerberos is first introduced, although he is drawn rather simply, you can't help but learn to love the lil sarcastic bastard. He's undeniably cute, and he actually has a personality, unlike a certain electric hamster with a single word vocabulary that everybody's acquainted with. Granted, the whole concept of Clow Cards is a bit too simplistic, and none of those spirits and monsters have personality, but Kerberos himself more than makes up for that. Card Captor Sakura is simple one of the most endearing children shows out there, and it's cute yet mature enough to capture the hearts and minds of teenagers and even adults as well. Give it a try, you might learn to love it.

Card Captor Sakura is such a GREAT ANIME SERIES!! the storyline is cool, characters are great and cute ^__^, and Sakura and Syaoran are such a CUTE CUTE CUTE COUPLE!! So, a great anime to see.... and i can't understand why some people would dislike this anime... who ever said that kind of comment is sure stupid!!

Card Captor Sakura
It's quite a good one, after Sailor Moon, St. Tail and CLAMP School. I love the story line. Sakura and (?)(sorry, forget his name) really made a good couple. But the music isn't really good and sometimes I feel a LITTLE(just a little) boring in the middle. Anyway, another great one!

^_^ This is one of those kawaii must see
ones! It has a pretty great plot in my opinion
& if you like cute humor this is an anime to
see. I think the soundtrack is pretty good. (then
again this is in my opinion so..^^;) I love the
main couple too!^_^ It's really addictive and a
must see. My overall view is 10.^_^

I'm giving it a ten because I truly believe it's one of the better animes. It has cute characters (but not "sickeningly" so) with an excellent plot and plot twists! I can't rate the sound track because I haven't heard the sound track yet, but everything else is great! When Li Syaoran blushes, it always makes me laugh. ^_^ And I hope you think so, too! Even if this isn't everyone's *favorite* anime, it is still a must-see.

Card Captor Sakura
Generally CCS is a wonderful anime with cute characters! It makes me want to watch again & again! Unlike some magic girl shows, CCS has a large plot on family issues, specific character's emotions and it's not stereotypical in many ways! It's just so great! Highly recommended!
