I have seen all of the Ranma OAVs and i have to say that this one is my absolute favorite. It's got hilarious characters, huge bug-eyed freak monsters, and a bit of romance and jealousy mixed in. You just have to laugh at some parts, and surprisingly, this OAV is actually touching and endearing at times.

Out of the series, movies and OAVs, An Akane to Remember is the greatest Ranma story yet. Not only that, but it is perhaps one of the best OAVs to date in the history of japanimation. The plotline is an exceptional blend of comedy, romance, and even drama. The story is so well done that I doubt anybody could truly hate this anime, even if they don't really like the Ranma series, as it is a beautifully done by any circumstance. It's a wonderful piece of work that will exceed anyone's expectations and then some.

Oh wow. I was breathless after this one. I loved all the OAVs, but I liked this one the most. It was the most touching one ever, and it really shows the love Ranma and Akane have for each other. Oh, and for the person who said akane can go to hell, I say YOU can go to hell!! Ranma and Akane forever!!! Yay!!

It really pisses me off to see such a great OAV's score marred by a lone vote by the "Akane can go to hell" moron. Not only is his review brainless, but it gives no indication that this fool has even seen the OAV at all, which i severely believe he or she hasn't. An Akane to remember is one of the greatest achievements in the comedy/romance/action anime genres, and, if it is to be criticized, it should be intelligently, instead of using a single brash and empty remark that simply serves to insult Akane alone and not the OAV's plot or any other aspects of an anime which can be intellectually open to criticism.

not bad. but is it just me or did the fight scene at the end a big let down. To be honest it made it cringe. To that matter I don't like how they did the fighting in most later Ranma's. The being hit straight into the air, in my opinion, isn't as cool as real fight scenes from the earlier series. 7 is the best I can do. Those who really like the romantic aspect of ranma may rate it higher.

This one is what it's all about they made this one so spetacular you can't help but watch it over and over, the only flaw was leaving out the thoughts Ranma had in the end that once again shows just haw much he loves Akane. Their holding hands makes the ending a sweet romantic memory.

Ranma 1/2 OAV: An Akane To Remember
Akane travels back to Reconzowa (is that how you spell that?) because of old memories of a boy who saved her life. She stays to try to cure the dying Shinnosuke because she owes him her life. Ranma isn't too thrilled but in the end things turn out for the better.

Definatly one of my favorite OAVs! The love between Ranma and Akane is great! so cute!!
