My only grip with Digital Eyes is that you cannot place your order through their web site, you have to phone in your order. Other than that their service and prices are great! They sell DVDs at approximately 20% below retail. Shipping is only $1.50, free if you order 4 or more! I received my order within 2 days. I would (and will) order from them again. Highly recommended!

Also, the excuse for the late delivery and was not clear to me.

Digital Eyes does have internet ordering now... I just tried it out. My shipment came in two days.

I have to say that I have been very pleased with Digital Eyes. I have bought well over 25 DVDs from them now over the past 6 months. All my orders have come in 2 days!

I would also recommend DVD Express, unfortunately for me I live in California... the added tax makes it cost more for me to buy from DVD Express (even with 30% off retail).

For anyone living in California, I would highly recommend you to try out Digital Eyes. Non-Californians... its a toss up between DVD Express and Digital Eyes.

The most important thing to me is that they ship DVD's on time.
I have ordered MANY titles from them in the past and they always ship
out the day my order is sent via web (excluding Sundays!). With
preorders, I often get the DVD's slightly before the shipdate or
right on shipdate. I gave them a '9' instead of a '10' because
on the 4 occasions we've called them, they seem to have an attitude
problem. While they're perfectly willing to answer questions, it seems
as if they'd rather be doing something else. I prefer to ask questions
via e-mail and we always receive a prompt response.

I have placed several orders with Digital Eyes. Shipment has been prompt and free (orders of 4 discs). More importantly, I have e-mailed several questions about title availability, or confusion among similar titles (Blue Angels), and received replies the same day.

Digital Eyes is a company any other Internat based sales company would do well to emulate. I give them a 10 for several reasons:
1) I have sent them many e-mails and have always recieved a very prompt and helpful response. I don't know of any other DVD retailer who has ever taken the time to even answer one of my e-mails to promptly...if at all even. Companies on the Internet seems to underestimate the value of communication with their customers -- which is especially important since the Internet lacks the face to face quality of traditional stores.
2) Their prices for used DVDs are second to none. If you know of any other sites which consistantly pay more for your used DVDs, I'd like to know it because I haven't found any. No problems at all in selling them my used DVDs. I traded them in for other DVDs and they shipped the same day and I received them just two days later.
3) Their site is well designed and informative.
4) Their selection goes beyond the usual new releases.

But above all it is their customer service. I will continue to be a loyal customer of Digital Eyes and urge anybody who reads this to do the same. Give them a try, you wont be sorry.

Prices are higher which is ok as long as the service is better.
My last two preorders I placed with them I had problems. The first
one somehow they lost track of it and it didn't ship until I called them.
The second one they had the wrong release date and when I called them about
it they did not even offer to check it out, so I just cancelled the order.
The next day I checked their site and they had corrected the date.
