Best low power, wide field eyepiece I've come across. Make certain you and
your scope are ready to handle this 2 lb monster.

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
Extraordinary wide-field views using a C-8, ultra high quality craftmenship, slight pincushioning effect in optics. Overall opinion, excellent.

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
The very best wide-angle, low power EP around. As good as the Leitz which is about a grand...to that extent it's not expensive, but a bargain.

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
When it comes to low power views, there is no match for the 35mm Panoptic. Views are crisp to the edge. Images are bright and pinpoint. In fact, the 35mm Panoptic is one of my favorite eyepieces!

I have tried other eyepieces, the 55mm Plossl for exampe. No contest. The Panoptic just gives better views. In fact, now I am so spoiled by it, regular eyepieces pale in comparison.

Another winner from Tele Vue. I give the 35mm Panoptic a 10+! It is excellent.

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
For dob owners who pan around, pin cushion distortion noticable. If you have a long focal length telescope with a clock drive the pin point stars to the edge of the mammoth field will win you over. Barlowing requires interface. For dobs the Pentax 40xl has better transmission and no pin cushion, albeit wuth poorer edge sharpness. Or if you dont' need all the field the 27 Panoptic is fantastic. Try before you buy.

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
Great eyepeice. Nice wide, flat field, with good light throughput. Stars pinpoints to the edge. There is a little pincushion effect, but for me personally, it doesn't bother me....the views are spectacular, especially on very large open clusters and nebulae. Definitely a keeper!

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
This is my favorite low power eyepiece. Why, because it gives me a wide flat field, with no pincushion distortion. Others have complained about this problem, but in my 8" SCT, I have never experienced this problem. I can't wait to try this eyepiece in my forth coming 17.5" Dob.

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
An excellent wide field eyepiece. Pinpoint stars right to the edge of field on my 12" Meade LX200, very bright images - traded in my 40mm Meade Super Wide for it!

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
Great wide-field eyepiece, huge true FOV! Pinpoint stars to edge of field, good light transmission. Lots of fun.

The only thing I don't like about this eyepiece is the over-abundant eye relief. I wear contacts, and I have to be VERY careful about eye placement to see the whole field. The problem is worse in light pollution than in dark skies.

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
Incredible eyepiece. Extremely comfortable eye relief. Sharp to the edge, even at F/4.8. Does not show secondary in my F/4.8 Dob.

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
Awesome eyepiece, but not perfect, I use it in a 8" SCT (meade LX200). Doesn't seem as "contrasty" as my 32mm Plossl. Great at a dark sight when looking for deep sky objects, wide field of view, pretty sharp all the way to the edge.

TeleVue Panoptic 35mm
This eyepiece replaced a 30 mm. Speers-Waler which I enjoyed as my "go-to" eyepiece. But it lacked eye-relief. Not so the 35 Pan!!! It is really comfortable with glasses and the wide field effect is fantastic!!! You'll have to tear this eyepiece from my cold dead fingers.....
