Watch this outfit!!! They are friendly and helpful until they get your money,but after that forget it. Run into a problem and you could be on your own.
The web site is good, easy to navigate with information on everything they sell including a good price list.

Good packaging but it's all a cover. Look elsewhere to purchase. You will end up regreting having done business with them.

Stay away from this place. I called to ordered a 10"Lx50 with superwedge.How long I said,He told me he's getting a shipment in 2 weeks just put money down now and its yours,So i did 2 weeks lator no scope so I call..."Not here yet call me next week" So I call again still no scope.4weeks lator I call get the answering machine It seems he has gone to the Winter star party..I am realy pissed now.He gets back I say where is my scope he says its here but Meade is painting your superwedge.So I told him I am coming down to pick the scope up.It takes 3hrs to get there.When I arrive he says UPS is bringing it over now I wait for 5hrs,No scope.I come home a week later I call and he said UPS took it to Montreal.Yea right!! I said what scopes do you have in your shop right now,He had a 10"LX200 good I am coming down tomorrow to pick it up.Get there get the scope I take it out of the box look at it perfect.I put it in my car Put the tripod in the car away I go.When I get home I open up the tripod box Its a lx10 tripod.I call him again he says he's sending one down with one of his customers who lives near me.He sends me a used tripod.this guy should be shot.never ever shop here. I am a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and I tell everyone I come in contact with about this guy. Go to Efston Science these guys are great..

Ray Khan the owner is the next best thing to a crook. I paid in advance for a $500 eyepiece and he never delivered. After waiting 6 months I determined from the distributer that the eyepiece was in stock and 15 miles from Khan's store but Khan had never actually ordered it. In frustraction I had my downtown Toronto law firm start to sue him. Only at that point did he return my payment. On the plus side he is knowledgeable and has a large stock. In Canada go to Perceptor or Efstonscience or Focus Scientific in Ottawa for fair dealing. In the US go to ANYBODY ELSE.

Khan's stock, new and used, is by far the widest in the Toronto area, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are generally equal to or lower than other dealers in Canada and the US. It's a small store, so it sometimes takes them time to get things. Like most small dealers they are highly dependent on the whims of the manufacturers and UPS for receiving stock, but most of the time they do their best and get products at least as soon as anyone else. I've been a steady customer for many years.

Good deal if the parts are IN STOCK. If you have to order something, all bets are off. Remember, Efston Science is just down the street, and they deliver what you order.

If I hear one more time that it's in customs, or someone forgot the order, or UPS lost it, or only part of the order was delivered, or ... you get the point.
You can't treat customers like this. Honesty would at least be refreshing.
4 - 6 months of excuses as to why 'supplier in stock items' aren't here it more than I can stand. I've called the suppliers directly and have been told that either he never order it, or it's in stock and should only take 2 weeks to get to his shop.. What gives??

I recently purchased a Meade ETX 125EC from KhanScope, they had everything in stock, assembled it all for me and showed me the things that were new to me. I have purchased from them before and have found them to always be helpful and friendly. Their prices are the same as other local dealers.

They seemed knowledgable during discussions, and generally had stock. Every Item I ordered arrived promptly and correct. I would purchase from them again.

Khan's service is non-existant. He states that he has the item in stock and will ship right away. Then you wait and wait and wait, all phone calls to him are answered with some excuse as to why the item is not in your possesion. Ie, my helper forgot, it was sent to Montreal by mistake!, it must be delayed with the carrier etc. etc. etc.
Use Harrison in Vancouver, Jeanette will bend over backwards to help you, even if she does not carry it.

I have bought a lot of equipment from Ray over the last five years. He has never given me bad information and has always directed me in the right direction. There were times when I went in wanting something and he has talked me out of the particular item because it would not have been suitable for me. I can understand the problems he faces with suppliers because he is a small store. Even facing this, he has gone the extra mile for me a couple of times. I will continue to use him in the future.

I have been fortunate with two orders so far. One was for a Televue Panoptic 22mm that was in stock - it arrived in Ottawa the next day. A second order was for a Losmandy GM8 that was on backorder for a stated 3 months. I finally got it in perfect shape 3.5 months later. I found the staff to be knowledgable about both products. Prices were reasonable.

Each time I go into Khan scope, I have to wait for the person behind the counter to acknowledge my presence. There is usually some other conversation going on, and it is obvious that the conversation is not related to a scope purchase. I always get the feeling that I have inconvenienced them by being there, as I have interrupted a conversation that usually is not a customer to supplier type.
I am then told that "our prices are lower than EfstonScience" After spending
$2100 on a Meade scope from Khan, I walked into Khan Scope and asked for a Meade Catalog. "It's 3 dollars" was the response. Give me a break. Right in Meade's adverts they say their catalog is free.
When I go into EfstonScience, they ask..."How can we help you?"
What a difference.
I have bought from Ray, and he hasn't shafted me, but I don't pay util the part is in my hand.
If EfstonScience lowered their prices, Ray Khan would be out of business.
Wake up Ray, treat your customers with more respect.

I have a similiar comment to the above notes. A few Saturday's ago I went to Khan Scope for the first time in a few years. There weren't any other customers in there. Ray and a clerk were looking at a magazine and there was not even a slight glance up from the counter from either at me. I heard the phone ring and the clerk answered it. Someone was asking for Ray. He told the clerk to tell the caller he was busy and couldn't talk. The clerk sort of insisted Ray talk to the caller. After a few seconds and a sigh Ray took the call like it was a huge inconvience to him.

15 seconds later I was out the door and heading a block north to buy at Efston, no matter what the price.

I agree ... once they have your money you wait, wait, wait. The the order was shipped and lost, they're waiting for Nikon etc. They put through my MasterCard before shipping, so now I have waited 14 weeks with no binoculars and a MC bill.
Go elsewhere.

Bought a used 8" LX200 from them and it took many calls, emails, complaints to try and get all that was supposed to be included. Bit by bit they kept sending more but in the end I never did get everything. I would NEVER do business with them again nor would I recommend them to anyone.
