Pro-Optic Jumbo 11X70

I'm surprised no one has yet voted on these binoculars. I bought a pair about two years ago (2000) after reading positive reviews from both Ed Ting and Todd Gross. I have not been disappointed as these have rapidly become my binos of choice when I head outdoors at night. They quickly displaced my Orion 10X50 UltraViews by offering better optical performance and more aperture. On the negative side I would say that the construction is not extremely durable and these wouldn't stand much abuse. Also, the field of view seems a bit narrow. On the positive side you have 70mm of aperture very easily hand-holdable, excellent image sharpness across almost the entire (narrow) field, long eye relief just perfect with eyeglasses and relatively low cost. Overall, an excellent pair of very practical astro binoculars at a good price.
