GTO eyepieces are is as advertized - excellent. Shipping is prompt and with due care - customer service is also excellent. I wouldn't hessitate to do business with Hands on Optics.

I have delt with this co a number of times and even thought there have been errors in my orders, when I called the toll free number they were quick to respond.

Their prices are more than reasonible and their products are top notch. You can't beat their house brand ep's, the GTO's...

A good place to do business..

Gary spent considerable time helping me decide want type of scope would best suit my needs. He discussed various choices candidly, and professionally. I appreciate his approach immensely. I only needed a small accessory at the time, which they had in stock. The quality of my order was first rate and the price was very good.

As luck would have it, I got a great deal on a used scope, but I am into my new hobby for the long run and will consider Hands on Optics first when it comes time for another telescope.

Gary is tops, in my book. I discovered Hands On Optics on eBay, but quickly learned that he not only offers great deals via auctions, but similar bargains -- even on hard-to-find items--at the store web site. My orders have always been filled promptly and packed well for shipment. His phone support is absolutely the best and he's so knowledgeable that he's steered me away from items that weren't precisely what I needed and toward items (even once to a different vendor!) that were. Great place to do business. At my public star parties I always mention Hands On Optics as the place to start shopping on the web. Jeff Barton, Dallas.

Every community should support a shop like this.Too many local shops have folded due to masss mechandisers and discount houses...and I know we are all guilty of it.For begining and intermediate astronomers this shop offers friendly advice and is very family oriented. I have seen Gary Hand personally defuse a disgruntled customer on the phone who had an equipment issue ( who didn't read the directions) with a mount.What he did with that customer I doubt a NewYork camera store would accomplish.Being a resident in Maryland I get to go to this adult toystore.I wish when I started in astromomy I had this level of equipment and advice available. Great place to do business and check out the Proxima 31 eyepiece.......It'll blow you away and its not a boat anchor!!!!

Except for that low quality GTO eyepieces they don't have good prices at all.
They don't update the website and if you need any kind of information by e-mail just forget about it, they never reply.
I wonder if they know the meaning of the word "customer".

- They put labels on items that are difficult to remove
- Poor packaging
