I tried to work with this company. I wanted to spend $3,500 with them. When I called I talked to a women. I don't remember her name. She was rude from the start. A kind of "what do you want" attitude. Her price was in line with everyone else, so I asked her why should I buy from her company? She laughed as if this is if that's a stupid question. Her response was "I like my company".

I hung up and gave my money to Frank at Astrotec. He knows how to treat his customers.

Maybe it was just this woman. I don't know, but I will never call them again. If your price doesn't beat anyone, then the service must.

I must have gotten the same person on the line when I called to place an order. She was rude an unhelpful. She didn't seem to care if I gave them my business of not. I voted not to and purchased from Lumicon which had helpful outstanding services. I will never order from Anacortes.

I recently purchased a Takahashi FS-60C from Anacortes. The service during the telephone-based order was excellent. Beth served as intermediary between myself and Texas Nautical Repair (TNR) and got all of the ordering and shipment information that I needed. This even involved a few callbacks to my by Beth.

The accessories sent dircetly by Anacortes arrived on time and packaged very securely.

The telescope, drop shipped from TNR, arrived with several adapters (for visual purposes) missing. Conversations with Ray York and follow-up by Brian (this fiollow-up was not prompted by myself - it was done purely in the interest of good customer service by Anacortes) will get me the accessories that I need.

This experience, coupled with previous buying experiences, leads me to give Anacortes the highest of ratings for service rendered. They do a lot of little things that most companies don't and they do them very well. Highly recommended.

I recently purchased a WYO focuser for my 7" MAK on the used market. Unfortunately the rubber grip rings were missing. I called Anacortes and was pleasantly suprised. Not only did they get them for me with their next order from WYO, they sent them along AT NO CHARGE!!! Not even shipping!!! These are the little things that will make me put Anacoretes on the top of the list!!! Highly recommended!! And many thanks to Linda Taylor, the rep I dealt with--A+++++

I bought a CG5 mount from ATWB. Overall, the experience was a great one. The person answering the phone was very courteous. When they took my order they gave me all sorts of tracking info which they repeated in two e-mails. They said the mount would arrive within 1 week, it was at my door in 6 days. The only room for improvement is that the cursomer servide people answering the phones might want to know a bit more about the products. I was told the CG5 weighed 51 lbm and that almost scared me off. (A supplier of wooden legs for these mounts told me they weighed half that).

At any rate, I plan on buying more accessories for my new refractor from ATWB in the near future. Real good people at that shop.

Closing out eq mount at a great price. Called several times with questions and all were very helpful each time. Ordered mount on Friday morning. Beth was very nice over the phone.Item shipped that afternoon, tracking number was received that day via e-mail and I didn't even order on the Internet! Great service!

I have made two purchases here, and would describe the experience as unremarkable in a good sort of way. What I mean by that is that I knew exactly what I wanted, and they executed the orders flawlessly. I did not haggle on price and can only offer a middle of the road five score on that item.
