Denon AVR-2700
Haven't had a chance to use it very much yet but everything I can tell is it is a very excellent unit and will stand at the top of its class. Highly recomend it.

Denon AVR-2700
Excellent receiver for the money. One of the lowest priced receivers with a built in AC-3 decoder. Also has 6 inputs for future DTS decoder. The only shortcoming is it does not have LR and RR preamp outs only L+C+R+Sub. It does have plenty of S-video inputs for easy switching possibilities and 2 coaxial and 1 optical audio input. List price for this unit is $799.00 and can be had for under $600.00 delivered if you shop around. Got mine delivered for $549.00.

Denon AVR-2700
the unit performs a good audio quality, and substitute a kelvin-labs esotheric integrated class a amplifier, without a particular loss in sound quality.
because the front main speakers are a couple of fantastic belle klipsh (my investment for the life...) i cannot test the clipping (105 db/w at 1 meter!!!!) but i can test the distorction at very low levels, and i appreciate.
i think that is a very good audio equipment, and i like the digital volume control with optical encoder (4 turns for -60 to +18db!) at a 1 db step! no noise, and a very sensible regulation.
tank You, DENON.

Denon AVR-2700
I don't understand nor do I care much about the things that the hardcore avphiles do. But I do care about backward and forward upgradeability and DTS capability was important(at least I thought it was). I have the same in my A110 DVD player. I guess not having LR/RR pre-outs is important though I'm not sure why. I didn't see any reason why I needed front av inputs on my receiver since I have them on tv and vcr. The sound on this unit is great. I decided to go for quality vs. bells and whistles, but I wish it had more surround modes. The absolute worst aspect to it is the operators manual. These guys need to take lessons from the computer manual writers, many of whom are bad also, but not this bad. This is the only reason I bought from a local retailer vs. the internet. I wanted local help if needed. Other than that, great!

Denon AVR-2700
An outstanding value for an A/V receiver. Plenty of inputs and outputs. The sound quality is suberb and faithfully reproduces cd and movie audio to perfection. I use it as a preamp now, using an ADCOM power amp for the mains
and center channels. The absence of Left and Right surround preouts is a bit
puzzling, but not a major distraction.Hint: The internal DAC's are capable of reading 96khz24bit audio bitstreams!!!!!!!!!!

Denon AVR-2700
The Denon AVR-2700 is great for the price, but the Yamaha RX-V793 beats it in all fields. The RX-V793 has better DAC's for one. A better DSP Processor, better DSP Fields, and better amplifiers. The Denon may have a Motorola DSP Processor, but it isn't the top of the line, it is the ones used in Teac Products. Also you misread the fact that only the AVR3200, AVR3600, and AVR5600 are capable of 96khz readings. The AVR-2700 is only capable of reading up to 48khz which is the only choice since the SPDIF Outputs are restricting it. The RX-V795 is capable of up to 96khz readings but is dropped with a 20-bit reading.

Denon AVR-2700
Only problem noted with this unit is that I cannot toggle from one mode to another (such as direct to pro-logic mode during TV, or from direct to 5-chanel stereo during audio) with a single command via the remote. This annoys the heck out of my wife! A faster switch would be real nice, and if anyone can figure out how to do it, please post.

Beautiful music, awesome video support. If you are looking for something else, what is it??? Thought I might need new speakers, but I just don't anymore, now that I have this sweet box.

Denon AVR-2700
I bought this as an upgrade from a 9 year old Denon stereo receiver. What a difference a decade and surround sound make! I've currently got the receiver connected to 5 Boston speakers and the sound is marvelous. Just listened to Jurassic Park and the foot steps of the dinosaurs was impressive, scary even. Somewhat of a chore to set up the TV, CD player, tape deck and all the speakers. Remote is a little fiddley and far too big. My wife can use it with ease, however, one of my big worries. And it controls all my 9 year old Denon components. I was worried about the on-screen setup, but that turned out to be no big deal. I'm looking forward to getting a subwoofer soon and DVD player next summer, once there are some titles to rent at t local Blockbuster. I'll save approximately $200 by not having to pay for the Dolby digital decoder again. Ratings: sound: 10, build quality: 10 ergonomics: 9.

Denon AVR-2700
The internal DAC's in the AVR2700 ARE capable of reading a 96khz-24bit
data-stream. It blows away the Yamaha Rxv793 in sound quality and NO the Avr3200,Avr3600, or Avr5600 do not read 96-24.

I just hooked up my new AVR2700 with Polk RM7300 speakers. I am completely happy with the unit. I especially like the 5-channel stereo setting. The sound is incredible. When I crank up the volume, the highs are crisp and clear and the bass is distortion free and permeates your body. I love it!!

AMAZING!!!
GOOD separation!!!
...on my part, somethings missing though.

I bought mine at Goodguys. I wasnt really looking for one that day.
The price they have was just unbelievable! For $449.00, i get to keep the
DENON AVR-2700; a DENON DCM-30 CD Player; a pair of MISSION 704 (floorstanding) speakers; pair of Mission sorround (i forgot the model) and a Mission center speaker!

Okay, heres the catch: NO remote. NO manual. NO antenna.

CAN anyone send me a copy of the manual PLEASE???
And does anyone have an extra remote control for my receiver???

THanks!!!

Denon AVR-2700
I am trying to decide between purchasing the AVR-2700 and the AVR-3200. One of the the differences between the two is that the AVR-2700 has a 96K 24 bit decoder built in. Can someone please tell me why this is important. Also if anyone has listened to both I would appreciate any comments/advice on which you prefer. Thanks for your help!

Denon AVR-2700
I recently bought the Denon AVR2700 and there are a few things I like/dislike. The bass just isn't there with this receiver. (My klipsh floor speakers are perfectly capable of delivering tremendous amounts of bass.) I tried turning the subwoofer control on and off, and it still isn't satisfactory. I wish there was a loudness feature or something. Otherwise, the highs and mids are beautiful, crisp but not to bright. The build quality of this thing is top notch. I like the way Denon pays attention to detail. The remote is well laid- out and so easy to set up. I only wish the owner's manual was so great. It is terrible-vague descriptions and hard to understand.
The five channel stereo is a great feature. Compared to other receivers I have owned the Denon is far superior-- All except for the lack of low end sound--oh well a good excuse to buy a powered sub.
