Bought a Velodyne F1800RII 1000 watt model in Dec. 97. Ordered on a Thursday or Friday- arrived that following Mon. Price-$1487. Amp went out in March. Velodyne replaced it with the upgraded 1250 W. amp from the FSR-18. I damned happy.

Best price on a new model Sony camcorder I found. They had it in stock and sent it out to me fast. Their quoted price included shipping. I had a good experience with them.

We bought a Sony STR915 Dolby Digital receiver and a Panasonic A110 DVD player. Good prices, knowledgeable, not pushy sales people. The DVD player was not in stock at the time of ordering, but was delivered within the time-frame promised by Onecall at the time of ordering. (Even got a call that order was shipped). I will give them a 9 rating only because the receiver was shipped later than promised. (Not a big deal since we were in no particuar hurry).

Some how I don't believe that. I know someone who works for the Better Business Bureau, and he says that One Call has a low customer complaint list. If that actually happened to you than you should call the BBB in NJ. You can also look at all the shit they had to go through to get with the BBB. Go to www.bbb.org/bbbonline it's there.

For all those people claiming "I couldn't return my defective product" Read this which has been in effect for 3 years 1 year after they opened.

Any goods (except DSS and Televisions*) which prove to be defective within ten days of delivery will be exchanged for a replacement of the same model. One Call will pay shipping costs for replacement merchandise. Purchaser is responsible for shipping to our warehouse at: 19 W. Main, Spokane, WA 99201. Properly returned defective merchandise will be replaced without any restocking charge.

Any merchandise that arrives damaged requires special attention. In the event this occurs, please call immediately. If you have any questions, please call us toll free at 1-888-347-4373.

Now for all those people saying "I couldn't return my defective product" think again and resubmit your review cause what your doing is illegal (in the sense that your writing stuff that isn't legit and if it is don't pay attention) and if the material isn't actually legit than you have to put something called a Disclaimers notice stating "This review is not real." Now if I actually wanted to I could ask the Moderator to erase your reviews but this site isn't important that much. The last comment obviously came from someone who is either employed by ONE CALL or is narrow-minded enough to disregard any valid opinion on this site. I find humor in the name of their company. During the last two weeks, I've made over a dozen calls to "ONE CALL" concerning an order I placed. The first problem I encountered was incorrect merchandise. They shipped the wrong surround speakers. I called to make them aware of the problem and was told that the new guy had made a clerical mistake. That wasn't so bad--these things happen. But I didn't appreciate the way "MIKE" treated me like an idiot. "How do you know they're the wrong speakers?" he asked. Hmmm...Well, maybe it's because the model number on the box doesn't match the model number of the speakers I remember ordering. Don't argue with me! Just fix it! A few of their salesmen where pleasant enough, but I'm still dealing with them to get a bad HK receiver replaced. Perhaps I'm just one of the unlucky few who have had a bad experience dealing with them. Granted, they have good prices, but If you're considering buying from them, I would practice bending over...because you're bound to get screwed.

I have made two puchases from Onecall. In both cases the merchandise was delivered on time and well packed. In one case the wrong speakers were sent. The correct speakers were then sent promptly and the incorrect ones picked up at no charge. The prices were excellent. I do a lot of Internet shopping and I recommend these people highly.

I just received a Toshiba TP61H95 Rear-Projection TV from Onecall. Although everyone was pleasant over the phone, they failed to tell me the $250+ freight shipping charge didn't include a "lift-gate". What that means for a #300+ TV is that you need four strong guys to get the thing off the truck (the shipping company sent just one), or you must shell out an additional $45 to get it delivered to your front door without supplying your own manpower. Since I was out of town the day it was delivered, my wife gladly paid the $45. When I talked to Bill on the phone, he was very pleasant but said the salesman should have explained what "no lift-gate service" was when I ordered it.

I will say he offered to replace the TV's small front cover piece for free, which had broken on delivery, but I'm still out the extra $45 for delivery. Overall, not bad compared to some other mail-order outfits, but there's still a long way to go to be compared to an LL Bean or Nordstroms.

I already knew the equipment I wanted when I called, so I can't really speak for their knowledge or expertise. My call was answered on the first ring, and when I asked for the piece of gear I wanted, he immedeiately knew it was in stock, and then quoted a price I almost couldn't believe. About $100 less than anywhere I had looked so far. I explained to him that I would only be home to recieve delivery on friday (this was a sunday) He said, "No problem, we'll just 2nd day ship it on wednesday" My receiver arrived on friday, as promised. It was well packed (double boxed) and is in perfect working condition. I will definitely consider them for my next purchase.

I just bought a HK AVR-65 receiver from OneCall, and was very pleased by the price, which was among the lowest I'd heard, but also by the pleasant and honest manner of the two salespeople I dealt with. Although I hadn't intended to buy cables too, they suggested adding them and I got a great price. The receiver arrived exactly when promised, double-boxed and in perfect condition. This was my first order with OneCall, but I'm definitely going to consider them for any future AV purchases.

I would not even think of buying elsewhere. You get great prices,
friendly service, and prompt delivery. No reason to ever buy
anything from a New York mail order outfit. Not that I have
anything against New York. After all, I am a native of the
metropolitan area. However, when you buy from a New York mail
order outfit, my experience has been the following:

Rude, suspicious sounding salesman
Game playing with the prices
Not sure if your getting grey, refurbished goods etc...

In November 98, I ordered a sub (Atlantic Technology 352PBM), and a center channel speaker (Infinity CC-3) from them. Great prices, very friendly and helpful sales guys, and the order was received two days after I placed it - as promised. I also recommended one-call to a friend and he had a similar experience.

I ordered a Hitachi 36" TV (200lbs). Gary the salesman was very friendly and very thorough in explaining the shipping protocol to me. The delivery was curbside delivery, meaning that you need someone there to help you with unloading. Some areas provide liftgates, and some don't. In my case, a liftgate was not provided, but the driver helped me unbox the TV and carry it into the house for $45. The TV arrived in perfect shape. Delivery was 4 days late, but I must forgive that because there were severe snowstorms in the mid west and the TV came cross country from Spokane, WA to Long Island, NY. I would not hesitate to order from them again.

I found Atlantic Technology 250.1 speakers on closeout. Please check them out to see what deals are current. I would not have been able to afford these speakers at anything approaching MSRP, but at 50 cents on the dollar, I am a happy camper.
