Simply stated, my guide just called me to ask where he could purchase a pair. We were counting points on mule deer at 2-3 MILES, the resolution and brightness are excellent, far better than the Bushnells that we were also using. a day with these and you'll wonder how you ever made do before.

I think I have found the perfect 10 power birding glass.

They have a lovely wide field and superb performance across their wide field of view. They are light and effortless to use. And in the field especially on birds middle distance birds the detail seen is superb. Very appealing. I often have them slung around my neck when walking. On distant boats e.t.c. the sharpness and wide field and ease of use make them very easy for viewing.

they outdo mid range Bushnell legacy roofs. In terms of contrast and also the sharpness and brightness. I have always struggled with 10 power porro binos but find this pair a snap.

I prefer lower power for stars. But the stellar images and contrast on moon e.t.c is very impressive. i can also get 90+% of the view with glasses on when the rubber eyecups are rolled down.

I got a pair secondhand for about 1/3rd the new price with the thought of reselling for a profit.

I just can't bring myself to sell them.

They are so small and their performance so darn good.

Zeiss sure know how to make impressive optics. i'm getting addicted to the optical quality the Dialyts have(i also have the b marine glasses)
They are really good too. But a different type of bino.

These have to be the best small to medium glass i've looked through. I find them easier to hold than the Leica glasses. Optical performance is similar. i wonder if the Victories are as good as these ClassiC's.

These Zeiss ClassiC binoculars are very impressive. The construction and ease of use is very impressive. The optics are very sharp and wide with impressive performance over the field. With folding down the eyecups it is possible to see most(but not all) of the field of view.

They are amazingly easy and comfortable to hold when walking around.
For birding these binoculars must be close to the perfect pair. they are very small and compact and seem not much bigger than the 8X30 ClassiC's which share a similar construction.

Focusing I find a lot easier than with the 7X42 ClassiC and also the performance across the field is more impressive.

I purchased these binoculars second hand for about half their new cost. the owner had only used them a few times and they look and feel like new. I was planning to onsell them and perhaps go for the 7X42's but think I may enjoy their compactness and impressive optical and mechanical performance.

I now am getting to realise why these binoculars are so popular with birders who can afford them. They are very ruggedly constructed and the engineering and ease of use is quite impressive.

On stars I find them a little more difficukt to hold as I do all 10 power binoculars but can say the fiels is very impressive. stars are pinpoints across a wide field.

At the end of the year I am going to hike(tramp) around stewart Island(New Zealand's 3rd biggest island takes10-12 days) so will rate them after using them there in a very rugged harsh climate.
