William Optics 2" diagonal
WO has a few different 2" diagonals so it's not exactly clear which one we should be rating, but my comments are on the 97% reflectivity version.

The moment you open the box you know you are getting your money's worth. Beautifully packaged and very nice to look at. Feels solid without unnecessary extra weight.

Under the stars it almost disappears. From edge to edge star images are quite sharp. Only when compared with one of the top-flight brands did I notice a very slight smearing in the stellar image. Still, excellent performance at this price level.

The compression ring is a nice touch. Every once in a while it binds but is still an outstanding value for the price.

You'll pay 2x or 3x before you move up in quality and then not by a lot.

$99 and 1/10 wave 2" diagonal. Performance was perfect - I thought it was better than a TV Everbrite diagonal - but Williams is $150 less!!!

William Optics 2" diagonal
I replace my regular diagonal with this 97% reflectivity diagonal, what a difference! It gives cleaner and brighter images. Sure it is not Everbrite, but it is also not as expensive.

William Optics 2" diagonal
It's very difficult to judge the quality of diagonals without having lots of money and side by side comparisons but this diagonal is the best I've seen and seems sharper than the equivalent 2inch Meade diagonal. Definitely worth every penny and is a top performer on DSO and planetary. Colour rendition seems better - possibly due to the increased reflectivity.

Beautiful to use and built to a high level of workmanship...I spent some time at the eyepiece looking at the Lumicon Dielectric and the William Optic and could not see any difference (REALLY) at the eyepiece. A perfect accessory for any scope.

William Optics 2" diagonal
This diagonal is probably be the single best telescope purchase I have made. At $108 including shipping, it would be a great deal even if the performance were equal to popular brand name diagonals. However, the specs are substantially better, with equal wave front error compared to Lumicon and TeleVue. Reflectivity is rated at approximately 97%, or 2% less than Lumicon and TeleVue, a fringe performance difference even the best of eyes would have trouble discerning. Cosmetically, it's a work of art and much more visually appealing than any other diagonal out there. The diagonal and 2'-1.25" adapter are equipped with their own brass compression rings, both of which function flawlessly. Personally, I don't understand why anyone would shell out the extra $200 for the "top of the line" models. Excellent accessory.

William Optics 2" diagonal
This is absolutely one of the best values in amateur astronomy equipment today. The design is beautiful and exquisitely machined, as is the packaging and overall finish. This diagonal could EASILY go for twice the money. Performance was exceptional on all objects, but I have nothing but a stock 1.25" diagonal to compare it to.

William Optics 2" diagonal
I've always been impressed with the design aesthetic of William Optics -- the Megrez 80 is a beautiful little scope, and that goes as well for this diagonal. It's a just a pretty thing to look at by itself, but stick it in a refractor and wow! Only the most nit-picky observer would be able to tell the difference between this and an Everbrite. The optical quality is superb, well-collimated, and it comes with compression rings and a nice 1.25" adapter.

Add to that the fact that the Everbrite costs $275 + $45 for the 1.25" adapter, and all of a sudden you're paying $220 for only the tiniest bit of performance increase.

This is an excellent diagonal and great bargain. Highly recommended!
