I'm sticking with my brothers up above. For all you cats who say
this is the best you've ever seen or the My Copy Went Bad dude...get
the washed out fansub version. I can personally point you in the
direction of like 2 cats who carry it off the top of my head and they
can point you i the direction of some more.
The half hour they cut from this movie MURDERS it. Read my review in
Nausicaa, i'm the one who starts My asking if you've seen Warriors of the Wind.
Now that i've seen the real deal, i've seen the light. I would once have voted this one a 10 of 10.
Now it's a 3. I blame Carl Masek...i dunno why, i just blame him.
Once again, See The Real Deal...don't jerk around with this movie, get Nausicaa! Otherwise you'll never learn what's in Nausicaa's (Zandra's) basement...it's a real shocker.

You can have my copy. I foolishly bought it on ebay just so I could see the bright colors it was meant to be seen in. Well, after 5 minutes I stopped. Zandra?? I'll go back to my washed out fansub.

The company that did this must have had a plan. What could it have been? You would think they would want to stay in business. I'll bet they didn't. Have a plan or stay in business.

I can't bear to give any drawing by Miyazaki a 0 or 1. Turn on the sound track to Mononoke Hime and watch the art.

I loved this movie, my copy went bad and have looked for a new copy for a long time. Still looking, best anime I have ever seen. The new stuff is awful.

Animation is a ART FORM
It requies both a good story and fine art.

NOT JUST "teeny porn" AND "fighting" SCENES

this was a terrible dub and cut of Miazaki's classic "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind". Over half an hour of footage was cut out. These weren't minor cuts either, major plot scenes were blatantly omitted, nulling out any kind of important messages or themes the director was trying to broad cast, such as the purpose of the Sea of Corruption. Worst of all, the excellent music was cut out since they made so many cuts in the footage. Watch this only if you are desperate for a Miazaki fix or if you want to expose yourself to the horror of the hack and slash of anime that all of us fans fear will happen to the anime that we love.

To those who gave this version 9's and 10's:

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???!!?? Granted the original version of this film is a stunning masterpiece and the american version of the film is what you grew up with. Your positive votes should be in the Nausicaa of the Wind (original title) folder. If you compare the original version to this hack job, the difference is obvious. Hopefully the new disney version will be faithful to the original version and you can pick up that copy and rave about it all you want.
