Vixen Lanthanum 12mm
I compared this eyepiece to a Kasai (a.k.a. UO) 12.5mm ortho and I found the LV to show slightly more detail - especially when looking at faint companions of very bright stars (e.g., Vega). No sign of ghosting or flare. Color is excellent. No observable rectilinear distortion.
Very comfortable eye relief but an observer may have some difficulty at first to put his eye in the right place (blackouts). Not a real disadvantage, just takes a bit of getting used to.
OTA: Celestron C8.
Overall: excellent EP, good value.

Good eyepiece, which seems to offer crisper views than my LV9mm - accepting it's working at a lower magnification. Very comfortable to use.

Vixen Lanthanum 12mm
I use this eyepiece in an Intes MN61. The eye relief is excellent (I wear eyeglasses). The views are pleasing, crisp, and appear to be as bright as the images I get from a Panoptic 22mm and a Radian 3mm. However, the image is not as bright as the one I get from my University Optics Ortho 4mm. I deducted one point for the smaller field of view.
