Got this scope second hand for only £120 and I decided that I couldn't go wrong at the price. My intention was an alternative to a few other "quick setup" scopes I've got, and to get:

1) Better colour correction than could be achieved in my ST80 (rainbow city)
2) More aperture than my Zeiss Telementor (absolutely superb but only 63mm)
3) A wider field than my smaller compound scopes can give me
4) A scope to be used as my solar scope of choice in the future

Only had one chance to use it so far but I have been quite impressed with what I've seen. Only test object (to any great extent in my short session) has been the moon which was very crisp indeed (tested up to 200x with 5mm Takahashi LE) and the image quality held up well despite mediocre seeing. Only very minimal chromatic aberration was noted, with a minuscule violet hue noted one side and a minuscule yellow hue the other. This was so small though that it could be eliminated by slightly changing the position of my eye at the eyepiece. These tests were done without any filtering which I am sure would go a long way in removing the false colour completely. The view through my Meade 14mm UWA was simply awesome and seemed to make a great combination with this scope giving 1.2º at 71x.
There was total haze cover which may have assisted in planetary observing, but unfortunately Jupiter and Saturn had already dropped from sight. This haze was too great to allow me to view any deep space object with the exception of M44 which I managed to find through the mist.

More testing will be done, but certainly for the price I am very pleased with my new, inexpensive grab and go scope.
