Vixen Atlux
I'm a Japanese user of Vixen Atlux previous model. This mount considered to be ranged between Takahashi EM200 and EM500 as a spec. The seperatable mount system has an advantage in outdoor use.

Vixen Atlux
A very solid, accurate mount with low periodic error (+/- 5 arc sec.) Build quality and finish is typical Vixen-style: second-to-none! Out of all premium Japanese medium-size mounts (e.g. Tak's EM200, Mizar's EQ mount, Pentax's MS-4 mount etc.), the Vixen Atlux is more portable and is more popular among enthusiasts in Japan. This group of mounts, despite their high prices, have better product design and aesthetic than comparable products made in Taiwan, China, Russian and even US! The Atlux represents a higher level of refinement and instill a higher level of pride of ownership than some other expensive mounts (e.g. Astrophysics, Losmandy, Yang's). I've used my Atlux for over 6 years and never had a problem with it. My next EQ mount will probably be the Tak's EM2000.
