In my 10" dob f/5, the Koenig 40mm gives a 8mm exit pupil. This makes the eyepiece under light polluted conditions not very useful for this scope. At a dark site however, it has delivered splendid 2 degree views to me of M31, Double Cluster, M44, the Veil, the North-America Nebula, Rosetta and Helix nebula's (the last ones with an OIII filter).

My Panoptic 27mm is my normal wide-field eyepiece, but under good dark sky conditions this eyepiece is a good addition for some very large objects, and worth the buy

Excellent eyepiece. In my 8inch f/6 dob it gives me a 2 degree field at 30x and a 6.6 mm exit pupil. The view is as sharp as my TV 25 mm plossl.

You do need the 2" eyecup supplied from UO since eye positioning is not comfortable. The eyecup helps but the view can still be unstable.
My other complaint is that it takes lots of out-travel to focus. I doubt any low profile focuser for newts will handle this eyepice. I had to pull it out 40% of the drawtube before it reached focus. Later on, I added a parfocalization ring, and now it works fine with my dob. It carries a bargin price for such premium performance.

it works very well with my mewlon 210 and my vixen 80ED. The field is not right flat at the border but it's OK. This eyepiece is very bright and has a good contrast. No evidence of false colour.

I have an f7 10" Newtonian. This lens provides me with a wide, distortion-free, reflection-free flat field of view. With it I can perfectly frame the Orion nebula or the double cluster. The lens compares well with my 27 mm Panoptic in quality and is much less expensive. A great value if you need a wide-field eyepiece.

good in a 8 inch f-10 sct.

even 60 degrees gives much better effect on deep sky than a 50 degree plossl.

Highly recommended. relatively sharp to edge of the field.

In an f-10 refractor this eyepiece is pleasing across a wide field. Well coated nice images. Very light for such a large wide angle ocular. Criticism the eyepiece reaches focus miles from run of the mill eyepieces. that makes it inconvenient to use. For the price it is a bargain.
