An excellent barlow that compares well to both the Celestron 2x Ultima and Televue barlows in sharpness and contrast. In a side-by-side comparison with the Televue 2.5x barlow, I found the two offered identical magnification, so I am not sure if the TV was giving me more or the Klee giving me less. The Klee had less light throughput than the Televue and its images seemed very slightly tinted (like the Ultima), but it also had better contrast. All in all, I think I could see a bit more detail and Jupiter's moons seemed a little more tightly focussed in the Klee. It is definately the best higher-powered barlow I have seen.

I sold my 2.5x Teleview Powermate after spending a few hours with this fine Barlow. It actually provided a superior image and was much smaller than the T.V. Powermate. Also, the fact that you spend one third the money for the Klee, makes it the bargain of the century. The ONLY thing you percieve is that your eyepiece has become 2.8 times more powerful. Like all of University Optics products, you get more bang for the buck.

I purchased mine directly from University Optics. The 2.8x Klee transmits a bit more light and is lighter/smaller than my 2x Orion Shorty Plus. Like the Orion it vignettes a little in my F6 Mak-Newt. However, takes away nothing and adds nothing else to the image - just 2.8x larger! I don't have any expensive barlows to compare this to, but I'm very pleased with this one.

Excellent, sold my other name brand barlow. Nice small size and actually increases the eye relief of any eyepiece used with it. Works equally well in my F4 Dob, F10 Cat & Mak. Wish a 2" version was available.

Hello *;O),

I use this barlow since a few months and i'm really satisfied by it!
In webcam at high magnification it works very well!

For example, copy this link to see a picture of Saturn taken with a mewlon 7" and this barlow *;O)! Judge by yourself.

I HAVE USED THIS BARLOW IN THREE DIFFERENT TELESCOPES
WITH THE SAME OUTSTANDING RESULTS. ITS COMPACT SIZE
MAKE IT VERY EASY TO USE. OPTICALLY IT WORKS REALLY WELL JUST AS GOOD AS OTHER HIGH PRICED BRANDS. I WAS
IMPRESSED WITH ITS CONSTRUCTION AND OVERALL VALUE.

This is the smallest barlow I have ever seen, shorty and then some. Bulit well with evry part of the inside barrel flat blackend, its a 3 element air spaced design. The only con is its not thrteaded for 11/4" filters, and the lock screw could be larger but the optical perfoarmance is the same as the 2.5X TV powermate plus it help change the eye relief when used with the Koning ep's so they seem to have more comfort. Totaly impresed with this barlow and at $80 its a real bargain. Coatings are very good and it is fully multi coated. This ones a keeper, a cut above the rest optically and sits along side the powermate
