I won a bid for a AGP video upgrade for my computer. When it arrived it wouldn't work in my computer. I called HP about the upgrade and was told that although my computer had AGP video, this video upgrade from Ubid only works in computers having a special bus card slot for the AGP card. Ubid did not disclose this requirement in the product description.

I requested a full refund from Ubid and they will only issue a RMA less a 15% restocking fee and shipping.

I have provided copies of the ad and requested that they reconsider.

These guys mislead on their advertising, and don't own up to their mistakes, much less give you the time of day when you complain. I purchased a Kenwood CD player which arrived without the specified inline remote control Well....no response.
I complained about surchages on shipping to Hawaii, well....no response. I complained about NO PERMISSION or prior notification on those same shipping charges....welll....no response.

Now I find all of these websites that tell me......UBID SUCKS!!!!!

I paid for a Dell 1503fp flat panel display on the 9th of November. Said it was shipped on the 21st. Still not here, tracking# is bad also. I HAVE contacted a lawyer and I AM getting my damn money back, somehow.

UBID sucks!!! I got a 30gb hard drive and was never shipped. But when I contacted the customer service, they took the call and told me that the bid price will be credited back.... which they never did evenafter two months. i dont know how people are voting for this company which cheats its customers.
To top it all, i was put on hold for ONE hour and ultimately no one was there to look into my problem. I sent them three mails and there is no response to anyone of it.

so pls dont go after the ubid. dont be cheated by those cheaters. Final note of caution, one of my friends bought a sony VCR from ubid, which was autioned by UBID itself and not the third party, NEVER WORKED and UBID is not even taking the responsibility.

Please dont get fooled and cheated by those cheaters .....

pass them up!!!! Customer service is non -existent. I won an order on a Game cube on the 20th it is now 20 days later nothing? Can't get a hold of them today they are over loaded with calls. I wonder why?

I've ordered several thousands of $$$ worth of stuff. The majority went great. However, there have been hitches. The projection TV that I ordered came as expected, however, I got a call from the shipping company wanting me to pay since Ubid hasn't paid their bill. THIS SUCKS. I'm calling the credit card company to reverse the shipping charges.
On the good side, I think I have someones speakers. I ordered a set of Wharfedale 95's and got 2 sets a day apart. I emailed them and they said there's nothing wrong with the order. Since I paid for shipping 160 lbs of speakers and they only weigh 80 lbs set, they're mine. They have put a hold on my credit card for a reciever that I purchased a month ago. They still haven't charge the card and I have had the receiver for over a month. These guys are screwed up.

Like everyone has said, if you get too good of a deal, they don't ship. I have another bid siting in process and they won't respond.

I purchased over $2,000.'s of stero equipment. I found out that it was refurbished and most of it still had something wrong with it. They even charged me for several things that I did not order or receive. I have contacted many times and they keep promiseing me that the will send me a free postage tag and a conformation number for the return. They lied they haven't.
If I had some legal way to get them back I would do it. I have all this equipment sitting in my garage because it does not work.

Customer service is non existant. Can not call in. Only email form letters. No way to communicate. Won a bid of 2 digital cameras, billed for two, only one came and can not get any response. I had to have the CC company hold payment. Price doesn't make up for the terrible terrible service.
