I think that dnticteeg these problems is next to impossible. That's why the cost of abandoning the secret ballot truly is too high of a price to pay. My favorite example of a situation where coercion could occur is in the case of the abusive husband. I would add that this could easily happen in almost any relationship where multiple people have the ability to vote collaboratively.Imagine an 18 year old kid who can finally vote for the first time and still lives at home. His parents helpfully offer their assistance with his mail in ballot. He suddenly feels extra pressure to vote the way he knows his parents would prefer. Imagine a caretaker who helps an elderly person in the home. The elderly person is no longer able to vote by herself, but the caretaker thinks, I know who/what she would vote for, anyway . The helpful caretaker votes for the elderly person. The fact of the matter is that this does introduce a security risk. Simply arguing that we have no metric to prove that it is in fact a major problem doesn't mean that we should just ignore it and/or open the hole up even wider.

The supplied mounting clamp is very poor. I understand there is an optional "double clamp" mount available for free in place of the single clamp. Note also the single clamp secures the very expensive telescope by a single nut/bolt around 1.5mm in diameter - I don't want to think about what happens if the threads strip or the bolt shears off!

Focus and optics are first class. Compared it with an OMC-140 (Orion UK) Maksutov on Jupiter, there was little difference, quite a feat considering the difference in diameter of the optics. Consider getting a Televue extension if using it with a CCD camera as there isn't a lot of focus travel - it's designed for use with a right angle adapter/eyepiece for visual use.

I'm not sure it's value for money, only time will tell if something of this quality can be supplied cheaper.

Best 80 mm optics out there! The optical tube is from Stellarvue, and the focuser is a dream. I live on Mobile Bay and the scope does double duty as a briding scope, which gives sharp true color and leaves one at the tripod for hours watching an osprey as never before.I bought this as a retirement present as a one shot deal, and never a regret!

I have one of the earliest releases of this scope from the late 90's. Mine is actually labeled as William Optics, but is the same scope. Early on, the TMB's used his optics in a WO tube. WO used his tube with TMB optics. Same scope.

The optics have surprised me. It delivers razor sharp images at ridiculously high mag...and all false color free! Contrast is top notch which results in deep-sky performance that is surprising at this aperture. Before this scope, I had left planetary observation for larger scopes, but this little gem will keep you in the ep for awhile. Star test is superb and consistent.

I'll comment only on the WO tubes. Later models have German CNC alum tubes. Very solid feel. Fit and finish make it a beauty in the daytime too. Pearl white paint with real gold accents make it drop dead gorgeous. Never considered displaying a scope until this one. Quite an eyecatcher. Focuser has large knobs and smooth action. Bat wing tension/lock lever is easy to use. Ample focus travel. Racked in and dewshield retracted, the tube is quite small at 17".

I've had many come and go. Some should have stayed. This one will not leave. Pure eye candy inside and out.
