TMB 115 LW
This is the second time I have owned a 115 LW. I sold the first favoring the aperture of one of the world's best 6" Maks. That was a mistake in the long run. These scopes may be one of the best values in apos out there. I bought both used in the $3k range. Considering top flight 4" apos run in this same price range, and 5 inchers are about double; this scope is truly a breed apart.

No false color detected, even at higher mags. Spherical correction is superb! Mechanics are top flight. Fit and finish is beautiful. Contrast is stark.

The 115 performs more like a 130 than it does a 100. The difference in apparent light grasp is noticeably better than ANY 4" I've encountered. Despite it's aperture disadvantage, even subtle planetary detail is very distictive. I have never rated any scope I've owned a 10 across the board before. I suppose there's a first time for everything.
