TeleVue WideField 15mm
Not much to say about this, other than that I like it...a lot. This is one of my favorite eyepieces. Partly, this is just because it fits some of the parameters I find comfortable (such as the 9mm eye relief, which I find very comfortable).

I find the views in this eyepiece very sharp, probably 85-90% of the way out. Further out is only slightly soft, not obnoxiously so. It gives up a bit of sharpness at the edges - but only a bit - to a Radian or Pentax XL. Of course, it's a lot less expensive, too (since it can only be found used). I don't have any Panoptics, so I can't compare it to them.

It's got a generous FOV (65º). It has the rich deep coatings you'd expect of a Tele Vue eyepiece, and excellent light transmission.

Overall, a well-made eyepiece and a great value.

TeleVue WideField 15mm
First of all, my scope is a 10" f/4.5 Starfinder. This Widefield prompted my realization of how much better eyepieces could be than Konigs and Erfles. I think this is a modified erfle, and I think I just saw its patent info last night on a website, by "Albert Nagler" sometime in the early '80s. The lenses are more like meniscus lenses near the eye and field lens groups, whereas the erfles have all flat lenses.
In use, with my fast newtonian, there is a nice sharp field of view, about 50deg. and after that, the sharpness falls off slightly. When panning, there is a little noticeable pincushion distortion at the edges, extra magnification basically of the outer edge of the fov. I love the Meade 14 UWA but will probably keep this Widefield just because of how great it feels, how much contrast there is, and how well it does once on top of a Klee barlow. It is like a 6mm Nagler then, totally crisp stars even at the edges. Very small and light, and comfortable. It just feels nice, so if you hate the low eye relief of 15 Panoptics, seek one of these out! I imagine it would do very well in anything f/6 and up.

TeleVue WideField 15mm
I had this in my box for 10 years, using it only with a dedicated deep sky filter. Then I tried with with the TeleVue 1.8 barlow. Amazing! The sharpest and most contrasty views of any of my eyepieces. Beats Nagler 9 and 4.8, by a lot. Very good value at the time and I wouldn't sell it.
