Description:While the Tele-Pod represents the most travel friendly mount for our smaller scopes, for more rigidity under heavier loads, we took the Tele-Pod head and adapted it to our fine Panoramic wooden tripod.Since the Sky Tour encoder attachment points are within the head itself, for the first time, the Panoramic mount is Sky Tour capable. The Panoramic Mount is available in solid ash or beautiful walnut wood with brass fittings. It places the scope from approximately 3 to 5 feet high.Metal ground spikes with rubber tips are provided. A central tray adds rigidity and a convenient platform for accessories.Tripods can be purchased separately from mounts.

TeleVue Panoramic
I've had my panoramic mount for about three years now. It is the older version that does not support the SkyTour system. It holds my Borg 76ED.

Pros:
- It just looks great!!

Cons:
- The tripod does not collapse without first taking out the accessory tray. This increases the setup time and hassel; the main detractor of this simple mount
- Rather expensive when bought new. I bought mine used.
- When pointing nearly vertical, the diagonal can get very close to the tripod legs. TV should have moved the head higher, so there is more clearance.

I may consider selling this mount, since it is not used often because of the setup time req'd. If you like looks and like Televue quality, then this mount is for you.

TeleVue Panoramic
This is an excellent mount and tripod system by TeleVue. Solid Ash wooden legs are very stable, and fully extended, vibrations dampen out in under 2 seconds. Retract the legs 4-6 inches and vibrations will dampen out in under a second. The mount head is silk smooth in motions in altitude and azimuth motions, very easy to use with the supplied mount handle attached to aid in panning. the ground spikes are highly useful in stability when planted into the ground at a grass observing site. The aluminum accessory tray is perfect for the added stability needed for observing at high power, unfortunately no holes drilled to fit eyepieces or accessories, but I purchased the EP caddy that works even better than if they did make holes in the tray. Perfect mount for the TV76mm APO that rests upon my Pano Mount. Excellent mount, but a little on the expensive side for what it is, an alt/az mount
