TeleVue Panoptic 15mm
These are my most used high power planetary binoviewing eyepieces. Through my Takahashi TOA-130F - AP/Baader Mark V (with the 2.6X Glasspath Compensator) binos combination the planetary views are simply breathtaking. Contrasty and sharp. I recommend getting the Orion Winged Rubber Eyeguard (catalog # 07406) if you plan to use it for binoviewing.

I'm probably not going to be able to add much to the optical excellence comments that others have made but I will share a tip about the eye relief.

I had the ocular about a week and loved the views but struggled a bit with the eye relief. Then it finally hit me to fold down the rubber eyecup. Bingo! Now I've comfortable, razor-sharp views, edge-to-edge. Still too tight for eyeglass wearer's but for those of us who can take them off at the eyepiece, it's a great eyepiece.

TeleVue Panoptic 15mm
Very fine little eyepiece. I find the eye relief a little short, you really need to get your eyeball very close to the lens, maybe 4-5mm exit pupil at best, but if you wear no glasses, there is no problem. The FOV is quite large and stars are tack sharp out to the edge of the ocular. Excellent color rendition and contrast noted, planets show excellent resolution and color. A very fine EP by TeleVue. Same clarity of optics as the other Panoptic line, just a little less eye relief than the other Panoptics, but by far still a fantastic EP with a generous FOV. I place a 10 because eye relief does not affect my views and I can physically take in the entire Field of View

Outstanding eyepiece! This little performer should be given a lot more credit than it gets, if you buy this EP, glasses or not, you will be highly pleased with the views, yes..eye relief is a little short, but still gives the great PANOPTIC views!

TeleVue Panoptic 15mm
This eyepiece is absolutely fantastic! Stars are perfect minute disks all the way to the edge of the FOV. I do not wear glasses, so I can take in the entire FOV even though I have been told there is little eye relief. The quality of optical glass is excellent with perfect pinpoint views.
There is absolutely no comparison to any Plossls or Orthos. This eP truly stands in a class by itself. At $210, compared to other Panoptics or Naglers, it's a steal!

Are most amateur astronomers nearsighted, have astigmatism or all other sorts of vision problems?? (All the nagging about eye relief indicates so.)
Well lucky me that I'm only moderate farsighted, so short eye relief dosen't bother me that much.
The 15mm Panoptic is a nice lens used on a small apo, sharp and contrasty to the edge, but to expensive to buy new these days. Got mine used for half price, that's OK.

TeleVue Panoptic 15mm
This is a great all around eyepiece and it has the same true field size as the much larger and heavier 12mm Nagler. The 10mm eye relief is OK if you don't have to wear glasses. For those lucky enough to be in that category, this is one of the best eyepieces that you can get to use with a binoviewer.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it has short eye relief. That's what happens when you take this design to a short focal length. Since I don't have a 2" focuser for the comparable Nagler, I can't complain. The eye relief is no shorter than the Meade 13.8 SWA I replaced with this lens. On the other hand, the contrast is much, much better, and this eyepiece is perfectly corrected to the edge of field. I find it an incredible lens to use; I would say it is the perfect mid-power eyepiece in the 1.25" catagory.
