The hype is true, it's a great ep. I bought this as a NEAF blem, but cannot see anythring wrong, and with the price I got it for, a good deal.

Superb. On a clear night, mount it on an FS-102 and kiss a few hours good bye.
High contrast, absolute sharpness (edge to edge), no false color and an FOV that goes on forever... this type 6 is a true “10”.

A truly superlative eyepiece. Razor sharp to the edge. Excellent contrast - something that immediately struck me. Eyerelief is OK for no eyeglasses. Very light weight. Super color handling.

Used in a 10" F/5,6 dob.


Good contrast, and pretty sharp to the edge. I like a little more eye relief, but that is just me. I thought it gave a little lateral color to planets, but others don't agree with me. That is ok, I mostly used it for DSOs, and it was a great piece for globs.

I use a 7mm Pentax XW now, which I think has better contrast and is much more comfortable to use. But both of these EPs are great, I just prefer the pentax. The T6 is a great EP though.

This is the best planetary eyepiece in the world. There is no better when you consider all things, contrast, sharpness, and FOV. I compared it with my orthos and my radians. It blew them all away! Get it if you can, you will not be sorry!

Lovely! the views suck you in and create a real sense of floating in space, works perfectly with my 10" Dob and is one of my favourite eyepiece to use for deepsky and planetary work with its sharp views across the field, plenty of contrast for those deep sky objects and of course that field of view that doesnt seem to stop.
The eye relief is not a problem to me, indeed you have to get rather intimate with the lens but i dont mind this, i just make sure im wearing my contact lenses.
This is my first nagler eyepiece, but let me tell you, once you go nagler you never go back!

Excellent ep in my 8" f/6 dob. Provides 174x. Contrast is superb. Great planetary ep on less forgiving skies. Great on globs too. Recommended.

This eyepiece is top-shelf material due to its excellent image sharpness out to the edge of the FOV. Clarity and color balance appear to be well corrected as well. I do admire the extra field of view compared to the Pentax 7 but note that the Pentax has a slight advantage in the image quality but with a reduced FOV. However, the 7mm T6 deserves an excellent rating because it is a spectacular eyepiece in my opinion.

Great EP has better contrast than my all time favorite 9mm Nagler and LE 5mm TAK. Which puts it in some pretty impressive company!
