TeleVue Nagler 7mm
Excellent contrast and sharpness in this eyepiece on my 10 inch f/5 dob. The eye relief is a little tight, but sufficient if you are not afraid to get intimate with your optics. FOV is extremely wide, usable and sharp out to the edges. I highly recommend this eyepiece for purchase for fast scopes based on my experience, but beware of eye relief if you wear glasses.

TeleVue Nagler 7mm
Nice wide, sharp field of view in a compact package. Somewhat short eye relief limits its use with eyeglasses and leads to eyelashes brushing the lens. (The newer type 6 design has slightly better eye relief although it is still short.) Distorted with very slight lateral color.

TeleVue Nagler 7mm
Lovely! the views suck you in and create a real sense of floating in space, works perfectly with my 10" Dob and is one of my favourite eyepiece to use for deepsky and planetary work with its sharp views, across the field, plenty of contrast for those deep sky objects and of course that field of view that doesnt seem to stop. The eye relief is not a problem to me, indeed you have to get rather intimate with the lens but i dont mind this, i just make sure im wearing my contact lenses.
This is my first nagler eyepiece, but let me tell you, once you go nagler you never go back.

TeleVue Nagler 7mm
Great eye relief for a short f.l., wide field of view, and fairly crisp but dim. Lots of glass in this one.

TeleVue Nagler 7mm
Easiest Nagler to use, handier than the 'giant' class Naglers, better eye relief than the tiny 4.8mm, great all-round eyepiece for a small scope. Most heavily used eyepiece in my 3" Oracle, 80x with 82 degree field makes great medium power eyepiece.

TeleVue Nagler 7mm
I have seen many eyepieces in this focal length, but the 7mm Nagler tops them all for "overall" performance. The combination of high contrast, ultra wide field, and overall sharpness puts it at the top of my list. I have seen others that may beat the Nagler in one catagory or another, but none that beat it in all areas. I have not noted any ghosting as mentioned in some of the other reviews with any of my OTAs. With my C-8 it takes me to typical seeing limits. In my 4in F9.8 refractor it provides great views at moderate power, and in my F6 80mm it is a joy to use. In the 80 it provides magnification without the typically restrictive field of view offered in many other designs at this fl. The version I use is the old smooth side unit from Japan. Yes the eye relief is tight if you want to see the entire field of view, but with an 82 degree apparent field of view I just take what I need.

TeleVue Nagler 7mm
Excellent eyepiece for both deep sky and planetary use. The eye relief is right at the edge for comfort, but more than acceptable for astro use. I will probably sell it for the new type 6, but the performance is excellent and without fault.

TeleVue Nagler 7mm
I recently purchased an original Naggler 7mm and am extremely pleased! It is like a port into space. You can mouve your eye around and not see the edge of the barrel in my c8! It was a big hit at a recent star party where it traveled from scope to scope and performed exceptionally in all...C8, 10"dob, 80mm Celestron Refractor, and C9.25. Worked great on moon, planetary and DSO! I would highly recommend this EP for anyone! The view was sharp and bright!

TeleVue Nagler 7mm
Bright sharp views. Along with the 12mm Nagler an essential eyepiece for the TV-85. Some have mentioned the eye-relief is too tight. I felt the eye-relief was just right (as a comparison the eye-relief in the Konig 16mm is way to tight).
