TeleVue Nagler 11mm
I recently purchased a used 11mm original Nagler and my opinion is this EP is the best ever. I witnessed the darkest background and the most pin-point stars in any EP I have ever viewed through without a doubt! Saturn was the most incredible detail I have ever seen and stars perfect to the edge. I own one in mint condition and the $$ I spent were well worth it! I have viewed "them all" and there is "no doubt" in my mind this is the finest EP ever.
Mike.

TeleVue Nagler 11mm
Very good eyepiece, but tends to be pricey on the used market. I got mine for a very afordable 125 becuase it had a very minor flaw called decementing. It results in a small amount of the cement that holds the lens together blocking about 5% of the outside field. Otherwise this is a very nice eyepiece. Actually one of the nicest in my case.

TeleVue Nagler 11mm
Excellent contrast. Light weight considering it's a Nagler. Far less kidney bean effect compared to the 12mm T4 and better eye relief compared to the 12mm T2. Too bad they stopped making the wonderful eyepiece. A solid performer.

TeleVue Nagler 11mm
I purchased a used one in pristine condition. A very nice ep. The views are bright and sharp and the spacewalk effect is great. As you move your eye to the ep to look through it, the field of view expansion effect is very strong, more so than with the Type 4's or 9 and 13 Type 1's. For whatever reason, this ep seems to give the best spacewalk effect of the 6 Naglers I have. I haven't experienced any kidney beaning (but the 13 doesn't bother me either.) This ep is about the same size as the 9mm Type 1, which I find a little surprising since the 13 is such a behemoth. Mine has no eyecup - I don't know if one was ever offered. However, eye positioning is easy and the eye relief is not too short. This ep commands a premium, but there's a reason!

Best of type I Naglers. I paid $400 for mine with box. Sharp to the edge. Very slight kidney bean effect. Not heavy. Much better than 7,9 and 13mm.

Prices are pretty high. I paid $480 for mine with box. I've seen the box alone retail for $55! I par the clarity of this eyepiece with the 9mm Nagler. Just super sharp to the edge...and I've never found it :)
I have never seen M31, M32, and M110 in the same field with such perfection.

As stated, they are extremely rare. I only take mine out of the case for those really REALLY good nights.

TeleVue Nagler 11mm
Very good ep. I paid $300 for mine. I have seen them go as high as $400. Sharp to the edge, unlike the T2's. I have notice very slight kidney bean effect but not at all annoying. Considering selling to finance a 31mm T5.
Tough decision!
