Gigantic view, I think I'd prefer perhaps an 70-90 degree view in this magnification.

Televue Ethos 13mm
Best eyepiece for many objects in my 16" f4.5 dob including M42 and M31, and many open clusters. It's no sharper on axis than my 13T6 Nagler. It might be a little better around the edges (hardly noticeable if at all). It definitely has less pincushion (not a big deal to me). The color tone is noticeably cooler. It's surprisingly light for its size. It's definitely going to be my most used deep space eyepiece.

The biggest downside is the physical size of the eyepiece, but it's worth it for those who crave a large field of view and great optics.

Televue Ethos 13mm
This is one of my all time favorite eyepieces. M42 in a 14.5" F4.3 dob with a Paracorr was just simply jaw-dropping. This is a great eyepiece for observing just about any object. Galaxies, nebula, clusters, etc... They all get the royal treatment with this beauty.

Televue Ethos 13mm
This is a very fine eyepiece. It is absolutely dazzing to look at the Double Cluster using the Ethos in My TV102. The stars are pinpoint and the sky richly dark. It is really quite awesome on m42 in the same telescope. I have barlowed it and used it on the moon with exquisite results. I have used it with my 9.25 Sct and it is outstanding as well. It is especially awesome seeing the entire moon at about 180X unbarlowed. It's like High Def. It is an expensive eyepiece, no question, but I use every time I go out now. It has not disappointed. Also, you might want to think of it as several eyepieces really. I had been considering getting a nagler 13 and or a nagler 16 or 17. This eyepiece pretty much covers everything from a 13 nagler to a 25 plossl range. Those two naglers 13+16 would cost more than this one eyepiece and for my money this is really much more spectacular. I own several naglers and consider them prized possesions, but this is, at least for me, the eyepiece that I would say is the most dazzing in view and overall quality. Superb piece of glass. Thanks, Uncle Al, you continue to help make this hobby great.
