Your english was good enough to close a deal and craft two emails. Why

Its a good thing, Mither Hoon, you live in CANADA! Or you & I
would be eye to eye, toe to elephant foot (mine), and in Court!
We showered you with money to do your "work" and you gave us
a bath. You lied and misrepresented everything you said you had
which we then ordered and payed for, and the ota had screws
bounding around inside (loving the lens!). When everything was
sent back you then wrote out a quick check parting us with more
than 50% of the money we had sent you ... we literally got
nothing but a headache and a scam, you got half our money for
free and then would not even communicate, ... and we dropped our
long ubscription to Starry Messenger and took 50 others with us!
Starry Messenger back you, not us, and so others dropped their
subscriptions ... SM folded 4 months later! I am SURE you are
proud of your work, but I wonder why you have never attended any
star party across the border ... small wonder! You are a true
blite! on amateur astronomy. And I will never forgive the Starry
Messenger for backing a 'crook' like you!
J. Warner et. al !!!

Spider:

Are you sure you own the V120SGT2 semi-apo ED? I don't think so. Otherwise, you'd be in an uproar.

I was the "sucker born every minute." Not anymore, Mr. Hoon.

Very truly,

Stephen Pitt (lthuedk@pe.net)

I don't understand the first comment; I think he got the wrong scope sent to him. Mine came with a nice 8 x 50 finder with diagonal and adjustible eyepiece. Anyway Hoon should have made good with no fuss. Personally I never had any problems with him. I also know of some folks who bought from him who were very pleased. But for God's sake you are not buying a Zeiss or Takahashi. For my money it' a pretty decent bigger scope for the money. The second comment seems to be directed to Hoon's business practices; I really can't comment on that too much. I guy makes his own bed. These days it's pretty easy for everyone to find out what you are up to on the net.

The earlier comment seemed odd to me because this scope was supposed to come with an 8 x 50 finder with diagonal which mine did. I speculate that he received a mismarked scope. Of course if he did Mr. Hoon should have made good on it. As for me I have never had a problem with him. My scope is well worth the money as long as you realize it is not a Takahashi; and doesn't cost as much as a car.

The V120SGT2 came with a 6 x 30 finder-a worthless appendage, ending up somewhere on the closet floor. The optics are certainly NOT ED, with star tests no better than the skywatcher 150mm. Star discs circular to the edge, and fairly well-defined in and out of focus. Lens coating: MgFloride. Three baffles, same focuser as all Syntas. Colorfull at limb of moon and crater shadows...blah, blah, bublah.

Paid $775.00 for the OTA, which is $125.00 more than my Skywatcher 150! I am a bit displeased with Mr. Hoon, in that I read other posts regarding his rather cavalier attitude in making good on finders and "semi-apo" glass he knew he didn't deliver on. Know this, Mr. Hoon: I upheld my end and received a product misrepresented on your website and read by hundreds of interested amateurs. You have a decision to make, don't you?
