I bought the first one which started the whole 15.5 line, was custom built for me. Truly outstanding optics and mechanics as you would expect in a custom scope. Has one of the best focusers I've ever used, and very little image shift. Is a superb planetary scope when cooled down, and better than most when not. Also very good on any deep sky object that benifits from great high contrast optics. Have seen centerl star in M-57 with it, spokes on Saturn rings, Enke division, and detail on Jupiter I've never seen in another scope of any aperture. Really a great scope.

Can anyone who used this scope (or the six inch version) tell me about it's cool down time with the fan going? I realize that any Maksutov will have a longer time period than any other similar sized scope.

www.cloudy-nights.com has a review on this scope. Mentions cool down time with fan is about one hour and a half.
