Takahashi Orthoscopic 9mm
Superb. If you can live with the narrow field, this eyepiece delivers on all counts. Fantastic sharpness, contrast and light throughput. No appreciable light scatter.

It gives me about 100x with my scope and I use it to view faint objects such as galaxies and globular clusters. For this purpose it exceeds the performance of all other eyepieces I've tried in this range. On M13, for example, I was able to resolve many more stars, and get a far better sense of the whole object.

WA eyepieces like Naglers do a great job at showing the object in context, but when I just want to see the object as well as possible, this one is the best. Also works well with the 2.5 powermate.

I think the Tak orthos are better than the LE series if you can live with the narrow field and tight eye relief. In short, a very fine performer.
