I bought an FC100N ten years ago and every time I look through it I am simply amazed. The optics are faultless. The construction is impeccable. The appearance is beautiful.I have had this scope up to 550x when viewing the gas giants and Mars and on steady nights the views are marvelous. Optically this is the best scope I have ever looked through.

Togehter with Vixen´s FL102 the best 4" scope for visual use but the TAK is much more stable and build like a tank. Incredible views on moon and the planets - very recommended!

I bought one of these a few years ago and it is a stunning planetary scope. Virtually no color and incredibly sharp contrasty images. Probably the best 4" refractor I've ever looked through. The moon virged on 3 dimensional in this scope! Jupiter showed multiple belts and colors in the belts. The moons were differing sized discs. Saturn was excellent with the crepe ring and 5 moons.
Just a perfect scope. Sadly I had to sell it (pregnant wife & no insurance)
Wish I still had it. Paula York at Anacortes now owns this beauty.
