Street Fighter II the Movie
First anime I ever saw and still a fave of mine. Contains my favourite fight scene in all the anime I've seen, the beautifully choreographed fight between Chun Li and Vega. Everybody, enjoy!

you have to take anime titles like this for what they are. a fighting anime for street fighter fans. the characters are animated fantastically and the fight scenes are the best action you will ever see. A must for Street fighter fans. Others may not like the weak storyline.

As someone post somewhere above, it is the best anime based on a videogame ever made. Street fighter 2 the videogame and its characters has the biggest cult, because it don´t reveals exactly the characters past and personality, so anyone can be identified with them. Characters such as Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Chun Li, and Bison have become the more popular on the world, along with Goku and Pikachu. I think that the movie was perfect because it didn´t told the stories of the characters, but it kept the cliches that made them so popular. The artwork is beautiful, the animations are outstanding, the music is cool, and the overall feeling is like a refrehsing wind of cool and colourful anime to have a good time. However being the best in its category, it can´t compete with the classics of anime, and if there is someone who hasn´t played Street Fighter and see this movie, maybe won´t like it.

I think that in the ending, Ryu should be able to defeat Bison's "psycho power" if he has developed his ultimate move: The SHIN-SHORYUKEN. It is known as the "true" dragon punch which is a super in Street Fighter III series that takes off 50% of his opponent's health with 3 hits! Moreover, he is invincible when he is performing the move! I am sure that Ryu's SHIN-SHORYUKEN can pulverize Bison's PSYCHO CRUSHER!

First off, Street Fighter II: The Movie is the best anime based on a fighting game to date. And, yes, there are good things and bad things about this movie.
To reinterate what has been said before; the plot is just recycled action movie scripts. There's dumb cheesy and unrealistic dramitic scenes (like when Balrog takes off his mask to chat as he fights Chun Li--no one's THAT stupid!!). And the dialogue is just lame (refer to Guile's comments when he visits Chun Li in the hospital).
On the good side, the fighting choreography is intense, the artwork and character designs are fabulous, and the animation is super.
I'm the kind of anime fan that would rather watch an anime that has little plot but fantastic visuals over an anime that has a great story but outdated, choppy, undetailed animation. Which is why I give it an '8'.
By the way, the Japanese version is a helluvalot better than the Americanized version.

Boring! Sure the anime is good.The soundtrack is also cool.the battle scense are
great,but none of this will save an anime like this. Sometimes characters appeared for no reason,and bison was not scary at all. Keep in mind my opinion,
and rent vampire hunter D instead.many people agree with me it just wasnt fun.
